The show introduced its Friday dance hour under a new name, Ready for the Weekend, even though Scott conceded that it sounded exactly like the old feature, Flufflers. The team compared the change to getting used to a renamed beauty product and made a great deal of a very small rebrand.

Scott then asked men to admit to the things a stereotypical 25-year-old lad might not usually confess to enjoying. A listener who read Danielle Steel novels explained that he had discovered them in hospital as a teenager and had even received a reply from the author, after she assumed he was a girl.

The programme also replayed Timmy Trendy’s comically unsubtle call to showbiz writer Dean Piper about being the Royal Wedding planner. Friday meant there was no new Trapped in the Closet instalment, but Scott reassured its growing audience that the next episode would arrive on Monday.
