The cows come over
The West Bridgford Social Singers were performing beside the Mill Pond in Cambridge when a herd of cows wandered across to listen.
The animals appeared particularly interested in the choir’s version of Yazoo’s Only You.
Scott asked whether cattle genuinely liked music and whether choirs were regularly interrupted by farm animals.
Jan from the choir explained what happened and promised to pass Scott’s love to the rest of the group.
Radio 2-loving herds

Anne in Cumbria said her husband played Radio 2 while milking their cows twice a day.
The animals reportedly became unsettled when the station was not switched on.
Scott treated the claim as breaking news for the programme’s newest animal audience.
The Birthday Game: Bev
Bev from Seaford wanted something upbeat and preferred the 1990s to the 1980s.
Her first spin was the Police’s Don’t Stand So Close to Me, the best-selling UK single of 1980.
Bev rejected it.
The second was U2’s Desire, number one in 1988.
She passed again after the wheel ignored her preferred decade for a second time.
Her compulsory final song was Westlife and Mariah Carey’s version of Against All Odds.
Bev admitted it was not as upbeat as she wanted but regarded it as better than the previous two choices.
Scott recommended Vernon Kay’s Dance Sounds of the 90s as consolation.

The Friday Wonder Years began in 1981 and moved through successive years with large records and listener memories.
