Scott speaks to Carla, who works at a London hotel, about some rather compromising Polaroid photos left behind by French guests—and attempts a phone call to the hotel to return them, complete with a hilariously failed French accent.
Carla gets in touch with the show after discovering that guests staying at her hotel had left behind seven Polaroid photographs. When asked to describe them, Carla hesitantly explains that the photos feature an older French couple (probably in their late 40s) engaging in intimate moments in their room. The photos have been circulating among hotel staff, and some have even made it onto the housekeeping notice board.
Scott decides to call the hotel and attempt to return the photos to their owners. The phone call is chaotic: Scott tries and fails to do a convincing French accent while speaking to reception, mixing in Scottish tones halfway through. The receptionist finds his efforts amusing. When he finally reaches housekeeping, there’s further confusion about the room number—Scott starts with a number that’s too high for the hotel, which causes both him and the housekeeping staff member to become confused.
Eventually Scott connects with someone who speaks French and explains that he has photos left behind by French guests. The housekeeping worker confirms they have a French couple on file, and Scott describes the photos in deliberately awkward euphemisms (“big boobies”). The whole interaction is uncomfortable and comedic in equal measure, with Scott acknowledging afterwards that the call could have gone better. It’s a classic Scott Mills phone prank setup turned genuinely awkward when cultural and linguistic barriers collide with the delicate subject matter.
