Global Radio have announced when former Radio 1 DJ Jordan North will begin presenting the Capital breakfast show.
Jordan left the Going Home programme in February without a goodbye after it was believed he was departing for a rival station.
Days later it was announced Roman Kemp was leaving and his replacement would be the Burnley football supporter.
Kemp’s final day was Thursday 28 March – he’s now focusing on new TV commitments including presenting The One Show.
Now, after weeks of waiting, Capital have announced when the broadcaster will join co-presenters Sian Welby and Chris Stark.
The first show will start on Monday 8th April at 6am, with the programme airing across FM, DAB, smart speakers and the Global Player.
Giving a stereotypical quote to a press officer, Jordan said: “My alarm clock is on, and I cannot wait to get started on Capital Breakfast! Buckle up as we’re going to wake the nation up with the best tunes, huge interviews and biggest laughs so make sure you tune in!”
Chris Stark said: “Here we go! It’s not lost on all three of us what a huge a privilege it is to wake up the nation. I cannot wait for us to get started together.”
And Sian Welby wrote: “There is so much energy for the show, I know our listeners can’t wait to see what we’ve got in store – we’ve got plans for huge guests, huge games and a whole lot of mischief! I’ve known Jordan for a long time and it’s fantastic to be working with him.”
