Jerry is show to be on on Thursday 12th January 2026
So presumably Jerry/Emil will still pop up on Thursdays and in Jamie's absence until Vick returns.

Thanks for posting these! I've been looking for any clips/full shows from the late 90's and through the 00's and early 2010's. I found one a while back on Mixcloud from August 2000 with Clive Warren on weekend early breakfast into Mark Goodier on Saturday breakfast (which i believe was his last 'regular' show outside of chart and was replaced not long after leaving him with just the chart for his final 2 years)
-
Michelle Visage is presenting the Saturday lunchtime show (1-3pm) this week. There's no sign of Emma Willis in the schedule yet and it's still under Zoe Ball's name.
-
Gary Davies in for Trevor Nelson on Wednesday 7th January.
-
Spoony mentioned in passing earlier while doing a feature he does when covering Sara.. "next time I'm on". I'm assuming that means he'll be covering Teatime again at some point. I've enjoyed his cover over Christmas to be fair, but surely they won't have him continue as Trevor's cover (who he's covering in a few weeks) as well as being Sara's main stand in?

Ellie has also been extended to 4am. I guess they couldn’t find last minute cover so they’ve tried to minimise the amount of time over to repeats
Owain was listed for EB as usual, but i suppose with him being on live at 8pm tomorrow night with SOT90's NYE party, it would be quite a long day (especially as i assume it'll be coming from London).
Gary Davies is doing the double tomorrow, on mid morning in for Vernon, then back on between 6 and 8 with Sounds Of The 80s.
-
The breakfast show is starting at 6am tomorrow. No early breakfast tomorrow, instead there's a two hour Sounds Of The 90's playlist that is already avaliable on Sounds.

As it stands, he's on until Christmas Eve. First time in a few years. It's in Wycombe, where Vernon performed last year (or the year before). Vernon also did his show and panto for a week. A long day but it's doable now he's on in the morning
Mark Goodier is doing the breakfast show from Boxing Day up to Friday 2nd January, then Sara's on for the week starting 5th January, so Scott will be off for some of his panto run.
Mark is now doing breakfast on the week starting 5th January, with Sara on teatime as normal.

Joel Dommett on Saturday 24th January
Michelle Visage in for Elaine Paige on Sunday 25th January
W/C 26th January
Spoony in for Trevor Nelson
Melvin Odoom on The Good Groove in for Spoony.
-
Jeremy Vine off for at least 3 weeks in January. Tina Daheley sits in.

Matt & Mollie's show got my vote. It always puts a smile on my face and absolutely flies by. It feels like the spiritual successor to Scott & Chris in that slot.
Agree with others that Sam & Danni and James are sounding great on weekends.
With Going Home the issue is the line-up is incredibly inconsistent and quality can very much vary depending on who's on.
It was very close between Greg and M&M for me. The breakfast show has definitely stepped up a gear again in the past year or two. Fully agree about Matt & Mollie. I haven't been feeling the best this week, but having them on has put a smile on my face. As you say, very much the natural successors to Scott & Chris. Hopefully they do a similar longer stint on that show.

Melvin Odoom in for Spoony on The Good Groove tonight and tomorrow.
-
Ellie Brennan in for OJ Borg on overnights Christmas Eve into Christmas Day, Boxing Day, plus the 29th to 31st December.
-
Greg just mentioned he's on till Wednesday, so presumably Dean's meant to be on breakfast on Thursday as well (although he's off ill so remains to be seen if he's back on by then).

Think once her contract runs out she will be gone completely
Maybe... she's dipped in and out of Radio 2 both as cover and with permanent slots so you never know, she might pop up again one day...
No surprise that Emma has got the gig. She's been a regular cover presenter over the past few years (mostly on Saturdays for Dermot and Claudia/Romesh, and more recently for Sara Cox on drive).
-
Zoe's leaving her Saturday afternoon show already after taking over the 1-3pm slot in May. Emma Willis joins Radio 2 on a permanent basis to replace her.
Zoe's last show is next Saturday and she will continue to host music specials across the year for R2 and Sounds.

Which all but confirms OJ doing NYD breakfast because Vernon's the only other thing he could've meant by being back on NYD morning.
Schedule has been updated to show OJ covering the breakfast show on New Years Day.

Yes - but it's still better than nothing. At one point when I fancied a radio career I would still have loved that.
As for the representation point. The BBC is more often accused of over-representation of minorities rather than under-representation, so I find any agenda here hard to believe. Sorry to say it but we can only assume the reason there is less diversity in the selection is simply that they didn't deem those that would have brought this worthy enough. That's surprising in itself I admit but the BBC is the last organisation I can imagine following an agenda not to be inclusive.
Oh.. i agree definitely a massive opportunity. I suppose in terms of Radio 1, there's potentially an opportunity to join the Friday early breakfast rotation next year if any of them impress the bosses.
-
It's still a massive opportunity, but surely some of them will feel short changed compared to previous Christmas takeover.. in that it's a pre recorded slot on Anthems, rather than a live daytime show on Radio 1 itself?

Gary Davies sits in for Vernon on mid mornings from Monday 22nd December for two weeks.
Richie Anderson in for Dermot O'Leary on Saturday 27th December.
