  1. There has been a special podcast created, telling the story of the Gregathlon last week. It's available via Greg's pages on the website where you would download his podcast 'That's What He Said'. It's nearly an hour long, so should be a good listen!
  2. Jordan is doing early breakfast next Monday, and Adele is in for Clara. Looks to be all week though. Cel is doing the Specialist Chart next Tuesday at 3am.
  3. I don't think anyone would begrudge Greg for taking a day off today, planned or otherwise, given what he went through last week!
  4. Promise I'm not though! He did allude to the fact that Burnley won at the football yesterday, and that may have played a small part on how he was feeling today, but it was mainly the cold.
  5. Jordan has said he had a sore throat/cold and was not self inflicted. Disclaimer: I am not Jordan North.
  6. 2018 Lisa & Steve (whoooooo!)? It could be Robbie Williams, but also could be anyone. Scott isn't as revealing about his celebrity friends unlike a certain Nicholas Grimshaw.
  7. This is not to do with the show per se, but with the podcast. I have noticed that this week, the podcasts have been interrupted by a trail for Niki and Sammy's 'Peachy Podcast'. It's a clever idea, but they have that whole forced fun and cheesiness that Dan and Phil (whoooooo!) had going on and it's annoying me.
  8. I agree. He definitely would have completed it, and he sounds devastated at having to admit defeat. I have every respect for him and all his team that have done this with him.
  9. The total is now £311,973 as at 0710 this morning, up £34,817 since 1930 last night. Greg and the team are grounded at the moment though, due to the Red weather warning in much of central Scotland.
  10. On one of the shows last week, Scott did read out a text or tweet from a listener asking when the next who game would be and Scott did say that they have done one for a while, so I guess we'll wait and see...
  11. Their responses (especially Scott's) are quite funny, but it's not a feature I would miss if they stopped doing it.
  12. £74,000 + raised so far from the total just revealed.
  13. I think the total will rise a lot, certainly today and tomorrow. Adele has posted a picture on Twitter of snow in wherever they spent the night last night. I can also confirm that there is a similar amount of snow on the ground where I am in Scotland, and it'll be worse inland where Ben Nevis is!
  14. I don't think any of us are a fan of the Greatest Hits anymore, are we? It was great in September to mark the 50th birthday, but now it is just boring. As I have said before, Radio 1 are dedicating 8.5 hours a week to the Greatest Hits. Too much in my opinion, and some of the song choices included are questionable too!
  15. I didn't listen to the show today, and have just downloaded the podcast. I tell you something, regardless of how well Maya did today, she has given us a 51 minute podcast!
  16. I think we can safely the BRITs will be the biggest talking point tomorrow (given Maya's connection to Stormzy, shall we say!).
  17. Their resident Private Investigator, James, has been moved from Fridays to Thursdays now that Maya Jama is co-presenting on Fridays. It'll be a bit of a waste if they don't make up any features and just play more music.
  18. Scott did say yesterday that there won't be any form of a repeat of past BRITs years, and he and Chris are sounding alright today!
  19. Phil Taggart is sitting in for Annie Mac on Wednesday 21st, Thursday 22nd and Monday 26th March, as well as Monday 2nd April.
  20. A wee while yet then! It certainly sounds as though he isn't ready to leave yet, and I hope Ben Cooper has picked up on that.
  21. That's so embarrassing! Of course, we don't know the reasons for her only doing 13/30 shows in six weeks - there could have been a variety of reasons, but it certainly looks suspicious!
  22. That's what I picked up from it too - he's not ready to go yet, but he'd like the choice to go at a time of his choosing as opposed to being forced out in a way that Chris Moyles was, for example. I would like to see Scott stay at Radio 1 until at least the end of this decade, anyway. I have no idea when he actually celebrates his 20 year anniversary at the station though. I know it's definitely this year. Would it be around the same time as Aled, perhaps?
  23. Agreed. Either that, or this is a sign that Alice's days on Radio 1 are coming to an end and management have put her on a slot she won't be best pleased with. A bit like Gemma Cairney in that she was shunted to 4am and then the further demoted to an hour long slot once a week. I believe she can now be heard doing relief work on 6Music. Although Alice is a much better broadcaster than GC is.
