Yes you are right I did neglect the fact that Fearne has been on Radio one for many years herself, sorry. I was more refering to her initial ambitions, it seems she is far more concerned with television etc and sees radio as a back up in a way, not that it matters that she began in tv its just even now when she has a major radio one slot she does still seem to prioritise her tv work. Whereas others on the station have dedicated thier careers to radio and it just feels as if they have to take a back seat because Fearne is an established name when theres nothing to suggest that they wouldnt be able to do just as good job and more regularly. But thats just my opinion and I appreciate that theres a lot about fearne i dont know

Thanks! I dont want to sound negative towards Fearne but sometimes I think she does take her position for granted a little bit, thats all.

Hi this is my first post and dont want to say anything to cause any problems but regarding Fearne, I admire her business savvy attitude and ambition and of course noone deserves abuse and hatred. However I have never felt that her presenting skills were superior to anyone else on the station. I think that presenters such as Scott have desired a career in radio from a young age and those such as Greg James committed themselves to student radio and used thier talent and determination to make headway into the radio industry and annie mac worked her way up from the bottom as a BA for Zane Lowe. I think it is this desire and pure passion that makes thier shows so good and potentially stand out from someone like fearne's, whose passion appears to lie with tv as she often prioritises it above her radio show. Maybe if the mid morning slot had been given to someone with a background in and passion for radio they would have been more 'grateful' for the opportunity and put their all into the job and prioritised it, whereas sometimes I get the impression that Fearne sees it as another string to her bow and would drop it if something better came along. Sorry rambling post and its just my opinion but I do think that passion talent and loyalty is sometimes more important than being the right age and a household name.
