I'll be up for it as long as I don't have too much work.

I had no idea what was going on, but they were too distracting for me to do something useful like my German speaking prep :wacky:

Pasta with tomato and rocket sounds so good! Do you have parmesan shavings on it too?
It may sound good, but it comes out of a jar . We generally don't have any parmesan, but I'll chop up whatever cheese we have. I usually put ham in it.

Well for the last three days I've had a ham sandwich, packet of crisps, yogurt and some chocolate digestives. Very creative.
If I'm at home mid week I'll have 'tomato and rocket' pasta.

Me and my friend were laughing all day at those clips of Jedward.
'I'm a member of the cabbage family' 'I like to rub myself against trees' 'I'm a vegetable' Out of context they are great!

Surely by just being on UM we are quite weird?

I love the meerkat ones! However, I went to feed some meerkats last May and the keeper said that they get people going "compare the meerkat!" and "simples!" all the time, so they find it really annoying!

Strange having Switch on at 10pm. Wonder how many teens will still be doing there homework?
Loads. I regularly used to be up until 11-11.30 on a Sunday night doing homework.

That doesnt stop some people!
True, but I don't really like any alcoholic drinks. In the same way I don't like fizzy drinks!

It's just the word 'Omnomnomagon' that gets me every time!

My cursor is a dinosaur now who walks everywhere. It's quite distracting but very awesome.
I know the one. They are very distracting. My cursor is the standard one, but its 'tail' waggles. Not quite as distracting, but still entertaining.
What rocks in my life is that I just got an A* for my Maths GCSE! I'm soo happy I could burst!

Surely then N Dubz isn't quite the right target if it's workers you're aiming for? I guess it gets the listeners but surely it disappointed a lot of kids not being able to enter?
Kids are used to being disappointed - Loads of stuff is 18+

At the end of the day, you can't please all of the people, all of the time.

I tried to watch it, but my squemishness took over before I'd managed 5 minutes!

I have a friend who's surname is Jeeves. That's all I'm going to say.

Snow
in The Lounge
A part of the problem is that most councils only stock for a weeks worth of grit. So far they've been gritting straight for 3 weeks. Our cold spells don't last for that long so normally they can get a way with it and reorder if needed between events.I think (from what I remember for geography last year - I'm now doing it at Uni but I'm not doing weather yet )the problem at the moment is due to a blocking anticyclone pushing away the low pressure coming from from the good old tropical maritime airmass (The one that brings us our warm wet climate). As a result the Polar Continental (cold fairly dry weather) and polar maritime (the second rarest mass that brings cold air from the arctic circle and picks up moisture over the North sea - this brought yesterdays snow) air-masses are bringing in higher pressure cold air from the Arctic and the continent.
The roxby waves are also likely to be active in the jet stream especially if this lasts for a long time. Basically the jet stream is likely to have migrated south and is helping to push the low pressure away and down. If you remember in the summer when they predicted a BBQ summer and it never happened this was because the jet stream was allowing the low pressure to stick over the UK.
For those wanting a hot summer you'll have to hope for the rarest airmass - Tropical continental from Africa. Although if there was a blocking anticyclone then we would have th opposite problem and have no water!
You lost me in the middle there...

Chappers has now left the Scott Mills show, and the building. He intends to stay grumpy though. And he still sounds as though he has a constant blocked nose.
Left the building? I though he had taken up residency in the toilet
