  1. This is hardly news. Chris Moyles will be leaving Radio One some point in the future, unbelievable really. Doesn't take a genius to work out R1 are training up Greg James, seems to put himself/be put forward for everything is enthusiastic but bland enough not to get into the controvesy that Moyles does. Would rather someone like Vernon Kay got it but won't because of his age.

  2. I doubt it. Maybe some distant cousin? Not sure. I wouldn't really say either of them are that camp?!

Joe McElderry was amazing last night. Usher? Who cares.

Guys, do any of you like Mary? Please God, I hope not..

He's just another bland average x factor artist to be honest. Yes he can sing and he's probably a nice guy but there was nothing to that song or the performance.

  3. He sounded like a boring BBC executive going on about the age demographic. I think most people in the 16-25 age group would much rather listen to Moyles who's quirky, witty, funny and outrageous than one of the new breed of slick, politically correct, boring presenters like Fearne Cotton etc.

  4. Mostly, yeah, but there's some overlap, of course. Personally I think Radio 2 is more broader in it's appeal; in terms of the music/shows etc. For example, R2 often plays newer stuff.

Radio One is aimed 16-24 year olds. Radio 2 is 30-55. So Evans has pretty much double the range (15 instead of 8) and there'll also be alot more people under 16 who don't get counted who listen to Moyles than Under 16's who listen to Evans. Radio 2 probably is better music though...

  5. I don't want to read too much into stuff BUT when was the last time Breakfast and Drivetime presenters took their holiday at the same time other than Christmas? Has he demanded time off at short notice for personal reasons? Whatever it is if they wanted to suspend him I doubt they'd wait until Scott was away :D

  6. No, it's a money-making con that Cowell benefits massively from while he screws over almost everyone else involved. Maybe if it didn't cost the public to vote etc, the autotune and crap wouldn't be a problem...

Do what I do. Watch it, don't vote and don't take it too seriously. Ok he manipulates people but for all his sins Cowell does give a few people a year chance of a lifetime because they (normally) get a number one record despite being a bad singer. I can't blame him entirely for the crap thats in the charts at the moment

  7. Yeah, but I personally feel that there's a lot of focus on Jamaican reggae already. How often do you hear Sri Lankan or Ghanaian music on UK radio? I'd just like something a bit more 'new' or 'random' I suppose.

Especially as people like Dizzy Rascal and Tinchy Strider are so famous in the UK.

  8. F*ck you and uh, f*ck her too.

    MY NEW FAVOURITE SONG.

I was about to look for the ROTW thread to say it was in the running for my favourite weekly / monthly song. Have now decided it is the winner.

Hmm. Love it - and have only heard a few verses of the unedited version, I didn't hear any other swear words in it, apart from the obvious, I must listen to it in full now.

Isn't there a rule where swearing can take place after a certain time?

Also, slightly off topic, Scott claims he's only sworn once on his show, yet I've heard him say the word, 'Crap,' quite a few times. What, is it not a real swear word?

Crap isn't a real swear word for fucks sake. I think they can play but not say the f word after 10. Didn't Colin Murray's last record ever on radio one have the f word in or was it bleeped?
