I didn't like her on afternoons but I think she deserved more than weekend breakfast. It'll be a shame if she goes.
Fair comment, she's better than that, but to me it's obvious her R1 career is going no further.

Jolly good, a slot for Matt Edmonson, best of luck Edith.
-
they were replaced by Colin & Edith, they then went to Virgin radio because nobody else wanted them
don't worry Annalie you didn't miss much, they weren't that good :hahaha:
Colin and Edith replaced them in their original weekend slot I believe (which is now held by Jo Whiley) but they then did two years on early breakfast on the chat before going to Virgin.

Moyles is getting his hair all shaved off. Clearly, he has been reading the forums.
It's either that or he's decided to get one off his own merit. Definitely one of the two.

I liked Celebrity Tarzan, and I like the whole Celebrity? game. But this feature just becomes guess who spread out over a week due to the fact it's impossible. If I were the team after the next holiday I'd overhaul it again to celebrity monkey (monkey impression?) or something like that, because rasberry is just too hard.

My response to the article as posted on the site.
What a shame. I thought I could expect a less biased and overall higher standard of reporting from The Guardian, yet Ms Mahoney's reporting on this story has been very disapointing. I'm far from suggesting Moyles was totally right to do what he did in all of this, but this article is lazy Moyles bashing, the sort I'd assosiate with other Mail based news papers that are issued Daily (not naming any names of course). To use just one examole, the part about Moyles failing to compete with Evans and Wogan is laughable. Moyles' target audience is so small compared to the Radio 2 brakfast slot (Radio 1 15 mid 30's max, Radio 2 anywhere above this), and the RAJAR figures don't take in to account under 15 year old listeners, of which there will be many who listen to Moyles regularly. Based on these facts alone it's fair to say Moyles performance against Wogan and Evans has been admirable, with Wogan being less than 200,000 in front of Moyles at one stage I believe, but hey lets not let statistics get in the way of a good old fashioned anti Moyles agenda. I would go on but it's pointless.

Chris Moyles used new sport beds and jingles today. Listen to them here, 1 hour 32 mins in. I really like them. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00tryl7/The_Chris_Moyles_Show_Thursday_Alan_Carr_pops_in/

I was referring to Tom's comment and the usual drivel that others bring up to support such things, but well done for assuming.
No problem, I just thought you may have me down as a Fearne hater, whereas in reality I like her, just not so much on the radio. In fact her radio show isn't bad, she's improved over the last 6 months, there are just LOTS better options out there for that show.

I've heard you can go grey from stress. So it must be because of the break-up with Sophie.
Yep that'll be it
-
Imagine if they did it in October
If I don't sleep tonight it's your fault. I don't sleep when I'm worried.
-
:bored: nope, no Fearne haters around here...
*awaits numerous obviously false denials*
I like here hair. It suits her, as does the colour. Still not much of a fan of her radio show though sorry!
-
Hair dye's been washed out then!
-
Sorry but are we talking about the same guy that isn't good enough to get his own show so he is used purely to cover?
Utter rubbish. When you're nurturing young talent you don't just throw them in to a show at first oppourtunity. Plus we have no idea what may be stopping Matt getting his own show, for example other presenters having contracts to run etc. I'm sure Matt will get his own show, but to say he isn't "good enough" to get his own show is unfair.
-
but he didn't have anytime off between taking over the show and the Big Weekend, IIRC
That is true, making up for it now though!
-
So do I! I woke up early to listen to the 8.30 news, and was getting my hopes up, and was disappointed.
You seriously woke up early to listen to a new news jingle? Just let me get this right, you actually woke up early in the morning to check if a radio station had changed the jingle it plays for the news?
-
Has a fair bit of time off does young Gregory.
-
Still aren't using them!!
I've never been more disapointed.
-
I'm losing sleep.
Janice in the laundrette told me she can bearly contain herself.

Such a shame quality British Commercial Radio doesn't exist anymore. This move is going to make it a damn site more difficult for me to get a job in three years time.
-
Initials the same as 'Safety Car' by any chance?
Could you possibly be suggesting Safety Car is in for Fire Crewe by any chance? If this is the case didn't I here something about her going and doing another celebrity cycling trip?
-
I'd rather just know to be honest!
-
Idiot. As for those who are calling Moyles, the only people that truly know what is going on in a relationship are the people in it.
This. Grow up.
-
:yeahthat:
But the thing is with Moyles and his team is that you tend to live your life with them. They always share their activities and you feel close to them for that. So when something upsetting happens to one of them, you natuarly feel for them like you would a mate
Exactly. It says much for qhat a groundbreaking radio show it is.
Idiot.I'm not sure what position you're in to judge. The paper's don't always report the whole truth.

Dev actually did the opposite and went from weekends to early breakfast!
But I would much rather have a daily Radio show than just doing weekend breakfast, I'm sure Dev would to. For one more pay, two having to come up with 5 days of content a week is much more of a challenge. He'll grow as a DJ much more on Earlies.
Schedule Changes w/c 18th October

Ha! And this coming from someone who loves Edith Bowman! Probably the worst . best example of that on the station.
