I must admit that the first episode atleast is slow, it's not like 'Lost' where you are thrown into the story and then get flashbacks.. The building up of the storyline is, in my opinion, quite important..

Surely, he must be faking since they must have phone up before and said "we just pranked you, can we play your phone call on the radio?"..

If it's just the Channel 5 itself, I can't see why it's putting you off.. They have generally a good range of American shows this year with Killer Instinct/Prison Break and apparently House (which I don't watch)

There is also an area of pranks, such as the dialogue of phoning up Dell and seeing if they know how to respond when you are like the guy in their advert.. "You're there?" "24/7/365".. "Herd of locusts running down your street"..

That experiment would work better if you stuck the thing to below the lid and only then when you turn it upside down will it fizz and eventually pop.
