  1. Newspapers can't reveal their sources though. Occasionally they'll write that and there will actually be a source. Of course it also gives them free reign to completely make stuff up as well, but that's the way things have to be.

you cannot believe anything written in a newspaper, they are full of shit, especially the ones owned by News Corp & the Rothschild's ie the Daily Mail group.

the other day in the Sun they were moaning that the BBC spent £30,000 on flowers for their offices & that this was license payers money yet the entertainment bloke wants to blow Greg by the sounds of it.

you want real news, then find alternative news websites ones that are not affiliated by the mainstream media, if you want to watch REAL news, then you should watch RT (Russia Today) Al Jazeera, Press TV for example, you should also take notice of what Wikileaks put's out, even if he is a supposed C.eye.A shill, (allegedly).

  2. i cannot see it, firstly the breakfast show needs to be today a team of people & it's a very hard thing to form as many have found out to their cost, the shows you need to do to gain the experience to do the breakfast show are usually the 'drive time' shows like what Scott does & most of the time these have teams.

i do tune into Gregs show from time to time & nothing has changed from when he first started, only last week he played the stupid 'news reader' theme thing he does & that song where the band changed the lyrics to his name, come on i know R1 are trying to get younger listeners, but what age group does this sort of thing appeal to, five year olds ? maybe if he gets the Breakfast Show, he will bring back that childish 'flash flash' thing he used to do smiley_baby.gif

i'm sorry but i don't rate Greg one bit, he simply isn't in the same class as Moyles or Mills, i would even go so far as to say that Fearne is better than Greg as a DJ, it's like he is still living the dream & it hasn't sunk in that he is actually a DJ on R1.

it would be nice if Moyles dropped R1 in the shit & left & then we can see just how "amazing" Greg really is, the future of R1 year right

just how long in to Greg's stint on the Breakfast show will it be before the press turn on him like they did with Moyles & every other DJ at the station.

  3. pity James & Edith didn't get the job on Film 2011, Claudia Winkleman isn't that bad when she isn't gushing over some crap film, but the critic (Danny Leigh) they have on there is useless, nearly every time Claudia thinks a film they are reviewing is fantastic Danny says it's rubbish & then when she says a film is crap he then returns to say it's great, they have no chemistry at all :(

shame to see James leaving, seems strange to go to do a show on ITV2 though, taking a step backwards going there from Radio-1.

  4. i agree with some of the cuts, basically in the civil service, because what Labour did instead of creating proper jobs what they did was make up jobs in the public sector as it's easy to do especially in their heartlands, look how many of those so called Soviet style towns & city's there are,

NEARLY three-fifths of the growth in jobs under Labour during a decade in power was directly or indirectly created by the state, new research shows.

Across the country as a whole, it says 57% of new jobs created during the period 1997-2007 were state or “para-state†— dependent on government spending

    http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/economics/article7009695.ece

this simply couldn't continue, also the population hadn't gone up enough to have need for these jobs anyway.

Gordon Brown knows sod all about economics, first he announced that he was going to diversify the UK's assets by selling our gold reserves, which makes the gold market go into free-fall thus our gold is sold for half it's original value, he is just as much to blame for getting us into this mess as Tony Blair & George Bush + Wall Street are.

the reason the ConDem's are having to make all these cuts lie squarely with Labour.

i do think some of the cuts are wrong though like the Police & NHS for example, the one area that the government have not cut, which i think should be cut to zero is the overseas development budget, further more the money that went to Ireland, i cannot remember the guys name but just before Labour got voted out some fool signed a piece of paper saying that the UK would contribute to any EU bailout fund, oh right i see we borrow money at a rate of 3% then lend the money to Ireland at a rate or 5'ish% & hope we get it back, i would simply have overruled this.

all the parties are to blame for hiding the truth about the UK debt, because the one trillion we owe, 80% of it is for the debt that we brought from the banks, so all this "when the banks are sold we will make a profit" are wrong because lets say that RBS had a debt burden of £200 billion, which we (you & i) now own, but when the bank is sold how much will it be sold for ? a couple of billion that's how much because we have wiped the slate clean, what the government should do is go after the people who's fault it is & basically bankrupt them, then jail them, but all the parties are to blame for these lies.

the ConDems are wrong to think that the private sector can pick up the pieces or even David's "BIG SOCIETY" will fill the void, i don't have enough time to do things for the community for free when i have to go out to work, at the end of the day the people responsible should be the ones that pay the price, "where there's blame there's a claim" that was Labour's motto.

don't get me started on the VAT increase either, this year is going to be worse than last year that's for sure & no matter what the 'Bank of Rothschild' sorry England do nor what George Osbourne does because a double-dip is inevitable, it could even be a good thing, but the fact remains that money always leads to money & that's why all the banks are making record profits.

i think Labour are right in some ways that the cuts are to fast & to deep, but in the end it's their fault & if the party had any spine at all they would admit as much so, instead of spinning out lies to cover their ass.

at the end of the day the public sector is to big & they have had it to good for to long & it's time for them to live in the real world for a change.

  5. for those of you who do not know what 10 O'clock Live is have a look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10_O'Clock_Live

i have to say i think it's pretty good & i really didn't think that the presenters would be as good as they are on this type of show, David Mitchell is by far the best thing on the show due to his interviews for once he actually asks questions people want to know the answers to & he gets a answer out of them & also which is very rare lets the interviewee answer & then he comes back at them, the interview with Lib Dem MP Simon Hughes was especially good i thought.

ok i know the show is overtly left-wing, but it seems to be very popular with the 16-34 age range & viewing figures are not that to far from Question Times which as far as i can see has had it's day.

it seems that Lauren Laverne wasn't on to much on the last episode, after coming into criticism from viewers, but i do disagree because she isn't a comedian thus doesn't really fit in with the other presenters, but if a actual roll can be found for her then i think she could work really well.

what does everybody else think about the show ?

anything that can encourage younger people to get interested in politics & what the government are "actually" up to can only be a good thing.

PS, love the mentions in the shows of the Bilderberg's & Rothschild's :D

  6. yeah Caroline Sullivan is right in the R1 target audience !

she looks a right miserable cow, time to tune into SAGA radio isn't it, what she knows about music i have forgotten.

the Guardian used to be a decent paper up until about twelve months ago & then it got sucked in with the rest of the main stream media, i don't read any newspapers anymore & only watch bbc, russia today (RT) & Al-Jazeera news channels the bbc is a bit left wing i agree, but at least they don't peddle like the rest of the MSM.

anyway if Jo cared SO much & didn't like the play list, why didn't she move slots like Colin Murry did a few years ago as he didn't want to have to play the play list crap, or leave radio-1 & go to another station where there was more freedom ?

    money that's probably why.
