  1. I'm afraid I'm not the slightest bit interested in The Olympics. The politicians claim they will bring wealth to London. Hmm. To whom precisely? I feel for the friends and family I have in London, most of whom will actually lose work, partly because they're so worried about being able to physically get to it. I'm also not confident London's infrastructure is anywhere near ready for what's going to hit it. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Agree with Steph. Might watch some horsey stuff and gymnastics. Perhaps a little diving. Daresay women's volleyball will probably be on the agenda too

  2. Have been thinking about this, and find it really hard to think of anyone on TV I actually find attractive. Don't watch soaps, so I suppose this limits my choices. I was in love with Paxman and various other reporters during the Gulf War. Don't find Paxman so attractive nowadays though.

Hmm, Ant and Dec and Dermot O'leary are lovely. I think I prefer film stars, dead or alive, as they are unobtainable. I also like funny men. Robert Webb, even though he's losing his hair. Russell Howard's a cutie, I'd agree. Interesting interview with Sara Cox the other day. He seemed much deeper and more serious than you'd imagine. 3. I requested the Busta Rhymes rap in Look At Me Now ages ago. Hope it comes true soon!

Haha. That was actually No. 1 on Timsk and my list. The Busta Rhymes rap is one of the fastest we've ever heard, and his section in the middle isn't that rude. Only one word to be changed really.

  4. I haven't been remotely interested in this for years, but seeing as I've just found out I'm singing in it this year, I suppose I ought to take a passing interest at least.

    Here is my entry.:

Let me know what you think, don't pull any punches. Must say it reminds me of the melancholy tones of my favourite hit Les Bicyclettes de Belsize, which was better tbh.

I also rather like Graham Norton.;)

  5. Have caught most of Chris covering for Greg over the past couple of days, and it has really brought a smile to my face.

Was discussing it with Kelly (used to be on here) earlier on Twitter. We agreed that it really showed the 'Moyles doubters' (I never use the word 'hater', as I don't hate anyone. Wasted emotion) that he is more than capable of presenting a pretty last-minute, unscripted show, without a team. Most impressive.

  6. Really looking forward to this. Dunno why it appeals to me so much, because I'm by no means a 'corporate type'. Quite the opposite. Perhaps, that's precisely the reason. I derive a huge amount of pleasure out of watching them fail miserably at their silly tasks. It's like watching It's a Knockout in the boardrooom, or clowns, but not ones at the circus, they give me the creeps.

On another note, I was somewhat disappointed by former winner Tom the Inventor's much hyped new product which was revealed the other day. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2115600/Apprentice-winner-Tom-Pellereau-proudly-unveils-new-curved-S-shape-nail-file.html?ito=feeds-newsxml It's a bloody nail file! I've got several of them, and they came free with some other beauty product.

  7. Your mind is a garden..... Your thoughts are the seeds.... the results can be either flowers or weeds (wordsworth).

    Pretty sure it's 'harvest'.

I think the Hackney lineup is pretty impressive. Of course there are some bands\singers I'm not so keen on, but there really is plenty to suit everyone's taste.

  8. You would...

Think it just went over her head. Maybe she objected to the Schrodinger reference. She's not particularly keen on cats, is she?

I know we have our songs for today, but Christmas isn't Christmas without a nice bit of Jose Feliciano. Enjoy!

  9. Anyhow, back on topic. I'd heard this song before and loved it, but saw it today with this animation, and thought it was so sweet, and yes, 'sentimental', but nevermind. Now we're in December, here you go. Hope it hasn't been posted previously.

  10. She'd only chuck it in a bin.

Speaking of which I follow a very amusing chap on Twitter called @RichNeville, who won a Twitter award for his @CatBinLady account - which details the daily thoughts and views of a somewhat bitter, antisocial woman with an irrational dislike of all things feline. It's rather amusing and worth a read. He has also written a book based on this character.
