Alfie
Ooops. Sorry. An equally lovely name. On the subject of cuteness and probably not pissing on the floor, we haven't seen a pic of Alfie for a while. Hint.
We can turn this thread saccharin sweet fest!

He's called Archie
He purrs like a tractor. He's only teeny yet makes loooooads of noise
Meh. Timsk was right then. Excellent name though. Bit similar to our Arty. He makes a helluva lot of noise too.
Could be wrong, but isn't John's son called Archie?

Your kitty is all types of gorgeousness Bumble bee. Hope it (now, I say it's a she, but Timsk reckons it's a he) brings you as much happiness as our critters do. What is it called please?

The lyrics in Ronson's song are from Alouette, a French kid's song about plucking birds which I used to sing in French class. Bit strange though?
Still a totally amazing tune, and I'll eat my hat if it doesn't get to No.1 pretty soon. Possibly even this Sunday...

Oh wow thanks guys, I didn't think you'd remember me after all this time! Bloody hell Tim, that's the foulest cake I've ever seen, and Nati - when will this guy be showing up at my house?
After all this waiting to be an adult malarkey, I didn't get IDed today!
Hehe. It was pretty icky wasn't it? I told him to pop it up though.
I got IDed the other day. When I laughed and said thank you to the cashier, she told me that some people were offended when they weren't IDed. Not so much of a big up really then. Hmm.

I find Matt funny. I'm on my own then?
Don't you read your own website? There has been a fair bit of support for him on here in the past.
I find him to be very quick, witty and amusing. I'd agree with previous comment that he does perhaps need a little more experience; for example, his interaction with callers can be a tad stilted, but I'm sure this can be overcome.

Bang Bang Bang - Mark Ronson and friends.

Thank you Alan for sending me to bed with that image. As if the news hasn't been repulsive enough already today. Was that interview a spoof?
Don't recall his name, but that BBC News reporter earlier ought to be totally and utterly ashamed of his coverage of this Moat business.

What about a nice bit of Kylie?

Good topic John.
I'm not in the slightest bit patriotic, nor am I much of a fan of the Royal family, but my mum and I had this conversation more than once.
Concensus was that God Save the Queen was a pretty shite National anthem. It simply isn't rousing enough. We always agreed Rule Britania would have been a far better choice. Infact I think when I was a kid I did actually think this was the National anthem.
Like dc's suggestion of Jerusalem, but it's perhaps a bit solemn.
Holst's Jupiter is a good 'un too. No suitable lyrics though.
New reality show. 'Compose an anthem!' P*ss off Cowell and Lloyd Webber, I was there first.
PS. Venga Espana!!!! (Shite National anthem too though, it has to be said).

Excellent interview with Mitchell and Webb. Hell of a lot better than This Morning. They gave some jolly good advice to the team re Edinburgh too. Can't wait to see how all this Fringe stuff pans out.
Interesting to learn that the actor who played Chappers in the musical helps M&W with their writing.

Haha. They like to sound like a bunch of bungling amateurs, but I bet Emlyn and others have been beavering away on the project for some time.

Really looking forward to Michell and Webb on today's show. What a treat.
If I heard correctly yesterday, Scott is planning to visit the Edinburgh Fringe Festival again this year. Great news - SM the Musical was hilarious.
Maybe M&W could give him some tips and pointers?

Brilliant news! I'm sure she'll be sad her first day back leaving her wee baba.
Delighted to hear about this too. I love Sara Cox.
I think she'll be sad to leave the bany, but I reckon she'll be almost as sad to leave Radio 1 again after 3 weeks on Fearne's show.
Why doesn't Radio 1 save her this pain. Hmm?

If Scott's living in 'The Candy Shop', will he have Umpa lumpas as staff?
Nah. He'd just get jealous of their tans.
-
NICE pic! Totally understand your reluctance to approach Steven Fry - reckon that'd be a bit daunting, as he is a larger than life character, but Emlyn? I'm sure he would have been delighted to have had a chat with you.

If Beiber really cared, he'd offer to visit cental Afghanistan to entertain the troops!
On second thoughts, these brave people don't really deserve to have Beiber inflicted upon them.

Afraid I'm watching the tennis today. Haven't even got Scott on in the background. As you might have noticed in the past, I'm a big Rafa fan. Finding myself strangely divided on this match. They are both playing so well. It's gonna be good.
May the best man win.
What rocks in your life?

You read my mind John. He looks gorgeous. Why did you cut all your hair off though?
