    Utter bullshit.

    A HUGE amount of commercial radio stations rely on Radio 1's playlist each week to decide what they play themselves! Fact.

    Has she ever thought that her song wasn't actually that good?

    Radio 1, like every single radio station, plays the music it thinks its audience will like. If the audience want to hear Lady Fecking Ga Ga, then it will get played over VV Brown.

    Shakira - Hips don't lie was Number 1 for 2 weeks, on the official uk singles charts, before radio 1 playlisted it.

    VV Brown's previous single, Shark in the water, charted at 34, so obviously people liked it.

    It's true, I've noticed it with a few tracks that i've played on my own show, Master Shortie for example, i played at the end of last year, then in the middle of this year it got playlisted and i started playing it again, the same happened with Gnarls Barkley - Crazy, i played it A YEAR before radio 1 played it, the specialist shows need more of an input with the mainstream playlist.

    Ok, so as it stands, the 28th November in either Manchester or York is looking most likely. I'd prefer manchester personally, as it's the easiest for me to get to, and i could combine it with some c-word shopping. By the way, i'm not saying that i will be able to make it, i probably won't decide until the week before. That is, of course if i am still living in the lakes, Although even if i am back in newbury, i could combine it with a trip to see the parents.

    You live on the south coast though Grace! lol.

    I'm just gonna wait for a date and Location to be finalised, then see if i can make it tbh, i'm open to travelling so i don't really mind. That is of course if the people from Scotland and the people in the south can arrange somewhere to meet, lol.

    I think the Leeds/York area would be the best bet though, as its pretty much central if you include scotland. Although you might be able to knock it down to manchester/sheffield depending on how far north people are. Manchester is also fairly easy to get to, there's direct trains from both london and edinburgh.

    I think they start the THT at 9am :)

    I have my doubts about this to be honest, I can hardly see Dev doing a double shift, Perhaps twin b will do the early breakfast slot.

    I think it would work far better with Scott, Huw, Annie and Zane, personally. I second the David Hooper comment too.

    I've just come back from 3 1/2 weeks down in Newbury, they were perhaps the best 3 1/2 weeks of my life. Was great fun catching up with some friends, and i think i've found somewhere to live down there when the room becomes available..

    Good Times. :D
