The biggest talking point of the show was the previous night's MTV VMAs in Los Angeles. The presenters discussed Taylor Swift becoming the most-awarded artist in VMA history after picking up two more trophies to reach 32, overtaking Beyoncé. They also covered Madonna's on-stage remarks about being left waiting five days for a reply from Sabrina Carpenter's team over a potential collaboration before messaging Carpenter directly. Milo admitted he is guilty of leaving people "on red" himself, and the pair invited listeners to share stories of friends who never reply to messages.
The regular game "Give Us Another One" featured a caller, Aaron from North Wales, a plant operator and retained firefighter, who scored seven out of ten by finding alternative words for everyday items.
