Scott found Lover D in a Stockholm taxi
Scott returned from a weekend in Stockholm with a new musical discovery who had quite literally driven into his life. His taxi app announced that a driver called Lover D was four minutes away, a name Scott immediately needed to investigate.
Lover D, originally from Uganda and living in Stockholm, explained during the ten-minute journey that he also made music. He played Scott one of his songs, “Injection”, whose doctor-themed lyrics featured a patient in need of a penicillin injection. Scott gave both the ride and his new musical friend an enthusiastic review.
Rebecca had invented a friendship with Hayley Williams
A discussion about the little lies people tell at the start of relationships produced listener Rebecca. Her ex-boyfriend used to boast about celebrity encounters, so Rebecca tried to one-up him by claiming she knew Paramore singer Hayley Williams through a family friend.
When he doubted her, Rebecca got a friend to change her contact name and send messages pretending to be Hayley. The relationship eventually ended without Rebecca ever admitting the truth, meaning her ex could still believe the friendship was genuine.
Scott then surprised her by bringing Nick Grimshaw onto the call. Grimmy was amused by the elaborate deception and Rebecca suddenly found herself genuinely speaking to somebody with plenty of famous friends.
The washing machine was apparently a kissing technique
The Google Game led Scott and Chris into memories of first kisses. Chris had once been told that the correct technique was “the washing machine”, moving the tongue around in circles like a spin cycle.
Other supposed teenage advice involved spelling out letters with the tongue, leaving both of them wondering how anybody had ever learned to kiss normally.
