Chris appears 808 metres away
The production team’s access to Scott’s programme email led them to a message titled “Chris on Grindr?”. Listener Matt had seen a Leeds profile using a photograph that looked remarkably like Chris, accompanied by the description “happy and in love, just looking for a bit of extra fun”.
Chris had family in Leeds but denied creating the account. When shown the image, he admitted the lighting, stubble and generic facial features made the resemblance convincing. Matt had already asked the man whether he was the real Chris and received no reply.
The attempt to clear the story only made Scott more suspicious. Chris eventually posted the unusually specific message “Just to clear something up, I’m not on Grindr”, knowing it would look baffling when it resurfaced on social media years later.
Zoe Ball’s first Bingo
Zoe Ball played Innuendo Bingo for the first time. She already knew the feature from online videos but had not previously faced Chris herself.
Clips from The Hairy Bikers, wildlife programmes and other BBC output quickly established that her years of broadcasting experience provided no protection. Zoe embraced the game, and her laughter and full commitment made the debut substantial enough to earn immediate “legendary” status from Scott.
More apps and Bangers
The programme continued Battle of the Bangers, with both presenters adjusting their choices after the previous day’s verdict. A later discussion about social-media blocking established that Lord Sugar had become tired of people tweeting his Apprentice catchphrase and would remove offenders without ceremony.
