14 July 2006: Lloyd Complains to a Shop About Frosties

Mini mischief-maker Lloyd is back to cause chaos, this time calling a convenience store with a bizarre complaint about Frosties cereal and its irritating TV advert jingle.

Following the success of earlier Lloyd prank calls to a cinema and a publisher, the show brings back their 10-year-old troublemaker for another round of confusing unsuspecting businesses. This time, Lloyd rings a shop to lodge a formal complaint about Frosties, claiming he bought them there two weeks ago and wants his money back because the TV advert jingle is “doing my head in” and he can’t get the tune out of his head. The shop worker, increasingly bewildered, attempts to explain that he has nothing to do with the adverts and can’t process refunds for such a complaint. Lloyd persists with increasingly absurd tangents, including asking whether Bran Flakes “make you poo” (according to his friend) and querying whether the worker thinks the Frosties advert is any good. The conversation spirals into circular frustration as the baffled shopkeeper repeatedly insists he didn’t make the advert and can’t help, while Lloyd demands his money back with deadpan persistence. It’s classic Lloyd chaos — the kind of innocent-sounding but utterly bewildering call that leaves the recipient completely perplexed as to what’s actually happening.
