They've had to have counselling, btw. Was reading this at the weekend - because of the backlash against them. :-(
Along with anyone having the misfortune to see them perform, presumably!! :hahaha:
-
Thats ageism at its worst!
-
Maybe I ought to ring in, that will skew the listener stats a bit! :hahaha:

Once R1 was all about the new music, now it's all about keeping the UK's 10 year olds happy. :-/
Blimey, is that my mental age then?
-
Methinks you must all be asleep on here, have you not spotted anything?

He even got a plug in for Chappers & Dave
He's a natural. Hope his neck gets better soon too...............
-
I reckon Chappers should go on to Celebrity Masterchef. Would be strange to see him with John Torode in the same room!
Yeah, be like a pair of twins! Mind you John Torode wasnt on the last series, just Greg Wallace.
Not that I watch it, my dad told me............ :giggle:
-
How odd! Hs he been on yet then?

Just listening to 'What About Now' playing now. I really like it now I've heard it a few times. :
-
He's just finished doing his forecast, Fearne relayed it live on-air.

Just read on DS that Philip Glenister's comment in the M&S ad 'that girl prancing around in her underwear' has been deemed offensive by some!!
-
Yeah, the talking is OK, after all, thats the format of the show 'talking with music in-between' Its just that sometimes when there isnt much topical stuff it degenerates into banal waffle and gets tiresome. :bored:

She was in tears on this morning's show when Moyles and Dave made a reference to her baby growing inside her.
-
Mind you, I've learned too that Sidney Sampson is a Dutch DJ!!
He sounds more like a plumber to me...........
-
Apparently he was berated by Anne D and Janet Street-Porter for his views on a beauty pageant at a university. They accused him of putting feminism back decades........
-
I hope so, hes hosting it innee? :hahaha:
-
I like the M&S one with Philip Glenister in it. Loved Life On Mars/Ashes To Ashes! :
-
Very entertaining interview I thought, came across as a really nice guy.......

Right, the song you referred to is 'Proud Mary' which was first a hit way back in 1969 for Creedence Clearwater Revival. The version played was Ike and Tina Turner from 1971. Some of the lyrics are difficult to hear but I could hear no reference to 'buckets' !!!!! :hahaha:
More info here:

Mary? Buckets? Hmm, no song springs to mind!! Thanks for the link, I'll go take a listen and see if I can identify it!
*walks away scratching head*

The records he chose during Zane's show - the versus - I liked much better.
I missed this, what did he choose?
-
On a par with Paolo then? I'm not keen either, seems he's going for the rank outsiders as records of the week at the mo.......... :|

I quite liked the idea of this as a feature on Moyles this morning, it's a shame listeners didn't really engage with it. I found Aled quite amusing when he realised the girl caller from Flint Mountain and the guy from Caernarvon changed their stories when on-air - "You never said you were going to say that!"

Record sales of pineapples nationwide last week. Maybe they could do an ad for Del Monte?
