  1. I listened to Fearne this morn. Usually my radio goes on for an hour after the alarm goes off; I set it for 9.30 and I listen till 10.30 and get up. Ect. Usually I would listen to WTF and then get up. But today listening to Cotton was not enjoyable at all. I felt she was SHOUTING AT US! The cringe worthy "Mr Moyles" was a tad tedious. And the big book of dating? Tip 1, meet a musician, date a musician, get them to play for your radio station, then break up with them.

Sorry Fearne, Jo was there since 2002. It is not an easy job to replace someone who has created the 10-12.45 slot to be her own, but I do feel its like she is just sitting in for Jo.

  2. I made it clear before that I don't enjoy when Vernon sits in for Moyles. I find it sorta irritating cos at least when Scott sits in, he brings his show to it (though we could go on for days asking why it's called CHRIS MOYLES SHOW WITH SCOTT MILLS). But Vernon is sitting in, talking to Dave and Aled and doing Chris' features and stuff. Can't get used to it, then again I would consider myself a die-hard Moyles fan

  3. I hate to sound like a grump in relation to this, but Moyles and the team (as much as I love the show) please stop feeding John Barrowman's attention seeking, in your face ego.

I acknowledge that he isn't everyones taste, and some people totally LOVE him. But I wouldn't him if every time he had something to promote he wouldn't be EVERYWHERE! People do promotional work, but its never as noticeable as him.

Barrowman clearly has nothing to do since Torchwood is finished so the breakfast shown is just helping him out to keep him busy. And I don't know about you, but I found it funny at the beginning but now its starting to grate on me. :|

    </rant> :P

    I shall stop now :P

  4. One thing I cannot understand about the reshuffle is regarding Jo. The Radio 1 target audience is 15-29. The hours when the young Ferne Cotton is on, the audience whose age ranges between 15 and roughly 22/23 would more than likely not be listening as they are in school and college. Jo works well with her audience, and has a well established show with well known features. Listening to her makes a good alternative from the drivel thats on telly at that time.

But Ferne is young, trying to appeal to the younger audience, yet the younger "switch/chart show" audience more than likely won't be listening.

I'll still hold off from making my full opinion of Cotton when her show begins as you never know, it might end up pretty good :D

  5. I am in shock at seeing this! Wasn't expecting it.

I am delighted to see Greg is now going to be at a time that is possible for me to listen to :D and his show leading straight into Scott is perfect.

So shocked at Jo moving to weekends. Wonder if she will reinvent the show or will it be similar to the weekday show; and its gonna be different to listen to Ferne in the mornings. Obviously Jo's features will be gone so it will be interesting to see what new things she will bring to her new show. I don't think Reggie will be too lost without Ferne, he is so used to doing the show on it own!

Interesting to say the least anyway :D

  6. Am I on my own in saying that the little bit of the show I heard this morning, I didn't enjoy?

I don't mind Vernon, I'd listen if I turn on the radio and he is on. But on Moyles' show, I just find it hard to have him substitute in for Chris and continue with their show as normal. Thank god it was only for a day

According to twitter (comedy_dave)...I still am not sure if that is or isnt Dave, Moyles was in New York today?

  7. However its good to see some of his stuff on a BBC podcast. As good as the ones on his unofficial fan site were, they seemed to die off so a regular one from the BBC is a much better prospect I think

Twas such a shame those unofficial podcasts ended, they were quite entertaining and were dead long too! Can only hope for a daily podcast for Greg, as he would be able to fill at least 10-15 minutes a day, with 30 or so on afternoons?
