hmm, could be a number of things that tripped the power. never mind, makes it more exciting!
The bass from the speakers vibrated the MCBs and tripped them! wow, must of been loud. Can't wait to see the video!

Wasn't the last power cut at TV Centre due to the UPS or its associated switchgear failing, and not a failure of the incoming mains.
That said, it sounds like the Yalding problem was a double failure - Vernon mentioned the lights went off and emergency lighting came on. I wouldn't imagine the lighting would have been on the UPS sustained technical supply.
Not sure about the TV centre one.
The lights wont be on the UPS, your right there. That's why there is emergency lights. Must of had some bad luck then, never mind!

Lol, I'm the awkward one.
I like opera in my opinion its better than IE and i don't like Firefox (it just doesn't seem right?). Although Safari is OK. (Don't ask why i have like 4 Internet browsers installed!)
I have them all apart from opera to check my coding works in all of them xD. Have you tried Chrome?

aa, hmm, it's only for PNG transparency for IE (:/ ie).
This is the only problem having so many different browsers. It's can be a pain sometimes to get the coding to work in all browsers correctly.:cry::x

Looking at the source code, the only thing I can see that could cause this is, there is an extra </ul> tag.
Also looking at the code using chrome inspector its showing no / at the end of the img tag. But looking at FF source code there is but its highlighted in red (might mean its not there) that could cause the problem too.
Will have to wait for an admin to take a look at it

They do have a UPS... but apparently it was the UPS failing that caused the power cut!
Most good quality UPS systems tell you in some way the health of the battery. Shows ya show often they are checked...
Meh, I remember back 2 years? When they had bugs in the system. the computer was stopping the songs at real random times and the DJ didn't know.

I've just started using Firefox, i've been told it is much more reliable. Is there a way of uninstalling my old internet explorer for the sake of space?
You can, but then other programs will not work correctly (unless there is away of sorting that out I don't know of any yet), windows live is one.

I'm training for 'a certificate in Electrotechincal Technology' tbh Electrical installation level 3 advanced. started when I left school. only 1 year and one term left then i'm qualified!
I also do,
Stage lighting and a little bit of sound, have our own kit. (HOPE TO GO INTO STAGE LIGHTING)
outside pa systems and lighting + power, have our own kit.
little bit of djing
Film work / editing / DVD creation.
Website desginer and website coder (own a few sites and a dedicated server)
have also done a bit of Admin and moderation for forums
Then we have the drink and party's lol

The 4th floor said it was going out live but for the love of god, I couldn't find where. They linked us to the bigweekend site and that was it. Shame it was not live. Recorded it all tho...
