You're right! David Tennant is doing a Shakespeare play for the year so they've delayed the next series. Which is perhaps a hint that he will be continuing on as the doctor despite the rumours going around. Also doesn't make much sense then if Scott is to be filming at the end of this year and in 2009 for a show to be aired a year later...

sorry i made a typo, its the latter end of 2009 and into 2010 when filming will take place.. sorry for the mistake

I'd hate to see David Tennant leave, but it's going to happen one day obviously. I just don't think it'll happen yet, I have a feeling (I'm gonna feel like such a goon if he does go at the end of this season).

Let's face it, if DT actually is leaving at the end of the run, than RTD and team have done a wonderful job of keeping it under wraps. It would be an excellent surprise (in a sad way...if that makes any sense).

I think his severed hand has something to do with the resolution. We got a few poigniant shots of it through the episode. I'm not good with theories though, so god knows how it'll all pan out!

What about the fact that a 'faithful companion' is gonna die?

ive just heard on the grapevine, from a source inside radio 1. She said "that due to his roles in the bill and hollyoaks, Scott is going to be in series 5 of Doctor Who and will start filming scenes towards the end of this year and into next year.

its not been confirmed the part but it will just be a cameo/guest role

great news for us all
