i have had a ****ing **** day/past week
a backstabbing bitch who used to be a good mate has been using me to walk her up to the estate where all my mates live and give her fags, turns out that behind my back she was slagging me off at every opportunity. anyway she's been bul****ting to my best mate who she is going out with saying that i slag him off, which i don't cos he was my best mate. anyway he now wants to smash my face in even though he hasnt asked me about it. all my other former mates have jumped on his bandwagon and decided to hate me... which actually makes me laugh cos none of them have asked me about it. anyway i couldn't care less and i don't want to know them anymore because they were obviously never true mates, and i still have other mates which i havent spoken to for ages, and now were really good mates. so its all good
Aaaand breathe! ;-)

I'd like to point out that I didn't start this thread actually.
I'd like to point out that I wasn't aiming all my comments directly at you ;-)
-
I don't like how people get so damn militant about a TV program. You either enjoy it or you don't watch it. I don't see why we shouldn't discuss our reasons for disliking the program. It's got nothing to do with telling you how to live your life and you shouldn't react like it is.
You think we're millitant about it, yet you're the ones starting a thread to whinge about it in?
Er... right...
It's like you're saying 'Wow, I'm so cool because I'm different and hate reality TV!' by posting this.. that's the issue I have with it.
-
Do you actually have any idea what you're on about? I wasn't trying to do that at all. I was simply stating that I don't like the programme, and I thought I'd create a thread for myself and other people who don't like it to talk about reasons why we don't like or what we will be doing instead of watching it.
How is one thread "making a big song and dance" about it? :-?
Yes, I do actually have some idea what I'm talking about, believe it or not. I have eyes, and a brain.
I've had a great idea, every time I see something I don't like, I'll start a thread about it on here - wouldn't that be fantastic?
We could all start threads on here about how to run our lives, too. I can see it now!
Should I breathe tomorrow?
How many slices of toast should I have for breakfast?
What excuse can I use for not doing my homework?
Some guy/girl looked at me, do they fancy me?
-
I have made it clear in my personal message next to my screen name and my signature on here that I am not interested in Big Brother. This is an attempt to stop people from trying to discuss with me the goings-on in the programme. I won't know what's going on in it, and I don't care. People still try to talk to me about it anyway, regardless.
I've got a bright idea for you, just say you're not interested!
Why make a big song and dance about it... I just don't get it.
-
Then... just ignore it?
I can't understand why you're making such a big deal out of it.
I don't like football but when that's mentioned on the radio and TV I don't go and start a thread about it.
It's almost as if you're trying to make a 'It's cool to hate reality TV/Big Brother' club, and the more noise you make, the cooler you look.
-
Can I make a really obvious suggestion here?
Just... don't watch it? And stop whinging about it?
-
I fancy gay men too.
Me too... don't quite know why though

I think 50% of smokers die because of their habit.. that's 1 in 2, half...
-
It also increases the risk of heart disease, cancer etc. etc.
I don't see how there are any positives to it at all.
My dad died just over 3 months ago from a heart attack (at 48 ), and he hadn't smoked for nearly 30 years, wasn't overweight, cholesterol and blood pressure were pretty much normal... anything you do to increase the risk is crazy in my opinion.

Very good news if you ask me...

There are no local shops here, the nearest place to buy anything is probably the petrol station 4 miles away.
Public transport here is quite literally non existent - please explain how we are meant to live without using cars?
If you're that worried about global warming, go and target the countries and people emit the most CO2, not motorists.
-
It won't happen in my lifetime, so I don't care.
In 50 years I expect they'll have come up with an alternative fuel source, anyway
-
It won't run out, it'll simply become uneconomical to extract.
-
The other problem is that diesel cars can't run on Ethanol, and I think over 50% of cars sold across Europe are now diesel...
Ethanol isn't really viable as a future fuel source in my opinion.
-
A couple of garages sell E85 (85% Ethanol/15% Unleaded), but it's only 2p/litre less than normal unleaded, and cars that run on it (of which there are about two for sale in the country) are less efficent when using it.
Therefore, it actually costs far more to use - if the government reduced the duty on it, perhaps uptake would be higher?
-
well i agree with oliver on that to be honest. what the news and government also seem to be missing is the fact that the earth has changed for 1000's of years anyway, including weather, climate, coasts etc waaaaayyyy before we were here. and it wont stop for us.
Morning ;-)

Thinking environmentally though, it isn't good to have everyone crawling around in their cars. It's things like a lack of public transport on Sundays and holidays that a lot of people cite as their reason for never using public transport and that is part of what is ****ing the planet.
Rubbish.
UK motorists only make up 11% of the UK's carbon emissions. It seems that it's just an easy target for 'green' taxes.
Even if everybody in the UK gave up their cars tomorrow, it would make almost no difference to global carbon emissions anyway. It'd probably have the same effect as you trying to lower sea levels by filling up a tea cup.
Some more interesting facts:
If every single SUV owner changed their car for a Toyota Prius Hybrid, the UK's total C02 emissions would decrease by just 0.3%
UK motorists contribute just 0.2% of world carbon emissions
If every single driver in the UK changed their car for a V8 powered Range Rover, world carbon emissions would increase by just 0.2%.
