  1. Get a life offcom !! is it run by namby pamby people knitting jumpers for relatives ?

Yes, and it's other members of the knitting circle that call in to complain.

To be honest, as a parent, (as mentioned in another post, I'm getting on a bit) I don't really want my kids (5 and 2.5) repeating "crap", "bloody", "ass" as they hear on Moyles. That's why I don't have Radio 1 on when they are around, it hasn't driven me to call Offcom, but I don't think Radio 1 should *really* broadcast such words..

  2. People are complaining about all sorts at the moment, totally selfishly - Ant & Dec saying "B*llocks" after the watershed is an example. I don't think Moyles should say "crap" or "ass" in the morning on the school run though.

Loads of tracks Radio 1 play have badly bleeped swear words - that start "Ffff" its pretty clear what they are saying.. when they play George Michael's "Outside" they didn't bleep the line "all that bullsh*t conversation".. did anyone complain?

  3. I always thought that it was just looking up that helped you sneeze when you couldn't. Opens the air ways and all that.

I think this theory has come from another one, that looking at the sun helps you sneeze - maybe its because the sun makes you shut your eyes (needed for sneezing, otherwise your eyes would pop out) and by looking up, the snot / discomfort moves back down your nostrils, so aggrevating the problem, making your body react.

I love a good sneeze. Infact, I've started saying "Aaa tish ooo" when I do one, I've no idea when this started, or why I do it.

  4. Who would you like to hear back on the show, who's either never been on, or been on before?

I'd like The Hoff back on again. I'd also like to hear Ant & Dec on sometime, once the "I'm A Celeb...." programme is over.

Ant & Dec would be great I think. I'd also like to hear Cheggers actually - he was brilliant on Moyles the other week standing in for Dave.

How about someone like Frankie Boyle from Mock The Week, someone quite edgy that would make Scott nervous that he's going to say / do something risky?

  5. I think there's a point to this.. showing my age a bit, Radio 1 at the moment reminds me of the days just before Matthew Bannister came along..

Golden Hour / Our Tune is back - DJ's in their mid 30's or older commenting on records that are not to their taste, but are for the core demographic for which Radio 1 exists.. (Nickelback, Basshunter, Kid Rock spring to mind)

The rise of commercial radio "Yacht Rock" (or made-for-major-indie-bands) such as Scouting For Girls, The Hoosiers etc which dominate the "A list" and the sad way the Radio 1 DJ's call them "amazing" shows how out of touch they are (granted, Fearne Cotton thinks everything is amazing) - this is not "new music", this is not exciting for anyone under the age of 35.

We need a new Smashey & Nicey to shake things up a bit.
