Secret Santa Chaos Takes Over 🎅🎁
Scott Uncovers a Workplace Meltdown
It took about five minutes for Secret Santa to spiral into full Breakfast Show lore. Scott reported that someone on the team had “been burned before and takes it very seriously.” Tina, trying to hold the moral high ground, confessed she’s “not one to gossip,” but definitely wanted credit for her Traitors scheduling victory.
The team compared office rules from listeners:
“The gift has to begin with the recipient’s initial”
“£10 and not a penny more… unless it’s from me”
Linda always gets lipstick. Tina would apparently get tinsel (she protests she would not).
The Anonymous Caller Mayhem
A highlight was Scott attempting — and failing repeatedly — to connect with an anonymous caller whose voice changer absolutely betrayed them.
We got:
Darth Vader
A Dalek
A foghorn
…and at one point, just their normal voice
Scott’s exasperation peaked at: “This is chaos. Shall we just leave it?” followed immediately by “No, no, no, no, no!”
The caller eventually confessed they’d drawn their best friend for Secret Santa and had to pretend they hadn’t: “Some woman in accounts who I don’t really know…” — a perfect end to a perfectly messy segment.
Tina & Ellie: Life, Travel and Flood Warnings 🚗🌧️
Tina’s TV Triumph
Tina got congratulated by Scott because her campaign to move The Traitors earlier had succeeded:
“Traitors is back New Year’s Day… 8pm. They’ve moved it earlier for us.”
Her joy was audible: “Yes! Go on, Tina! It works!”
Guest Segment – Rebel Wilson & Kiefer Sutherland 🎬✨
1. A Big Hollywood Yorkshire Reunion
Rebel Wilson and Kiefer Sutherland joined Scott to talk about their new festive film Tinseltown, shot in Leeds and Knaresborough — the exact locations Scott said were “abuzz because Rebel and Kiefer were filming.” Rebel revealed the Yorkshire mums braved freezing temperatures because “he’s lovely, isn’t he?” (about Kiefer).
2. Kiefer Learns Panto Culture
Kiefer, who had never experienced panto before, admitted:
“It’s so hard to explain, but this movie does it perfectly.”
He leaned heavily on Jason Manford for cultural coaching:
“Jason was fantastic… explaining why a line was funny, what it meant. He was incredibly helpful.”
3. Rebel’s Yorkshire Accent & Crash Course
Rebel learned a Yorkshire accent in four days:
“Don’t judge me too harshly… I had four days to prep.”
Scott — and most of Yorkshire, surely — loved it. She said she played a “lovely Yorkshire lass” and clearly relished the challenge.
4. Scott’s Panto Confession
This led Scott to reveal his own panto role… and sing.
Rebel and Kiefer coaxed him into performing “It’s great to be me, it’s awesome to be the mayor…” and when he tried to hide under the desk, Rebel said:
“Why did you cut it off so quickly?”
Kiefer added solemnly: “Beautiful, Scott. Beautiful.”
5. The Cast, Danny Dyer & Fight Scenes
Rebel talked excitedly about Danny Dyer:
“I am now obsessed with him.”
The pair also praised the all-star British cast: Maria Friedman, Meera Syal, Asim Chaudhry, Jason Manford, and more. Kiefer’s favourite part? The dance numbers:
“For the first time I’m doing a song and dance number… It was freezing in Leeds so the cardio helped.”
Dad Jokes: The Festive Special 🎄🤣
Rebel and Kiefer played Dad Jokes — and it was the highlight of the show.
Best Lines:
Rebel: “We’re starting Diarrhoea Awareness Week… it runs till Friday.”
Kiefer: “Here I go again on my own…” (singing Whitesnake mid-joke)
Rebel: “There’s a new website in Yorkshire for chewing gum — ebuygum.com.”
Kiefer explained it to her: “E-buy-gum.”
Rebel: “I still don’t get it.”
Scott: “People in Yorkshire are screaming laughing right now.”
The Final Crack
Rebel finally broke on:
“What’s ET short for? He’s only got little legs.”
Scott: “Kiefer Sutherland wins!”
Scott’s Christmas Influencer Era 🎄📸
Scott told listeners he’s “accidentally become a Christmas influencer” after Alex Jones copied his giant bow tree decoration: “Turn off the comments, Alex!”
Meanwhile he praised (and gently questioned) Stacey Dooley’s maximalist tree: “It looks like something’s about to jump out.”
