Scott comes up with some of the craziest stuff for ROTW, and, quite often, they strike me as Records he would NOT actually choose. Obviously, he must have to just promote certain things.

The records he chose during Zane's show - the versus - I liked much better.

I think if I listened to that Riverside over & over, I would actually have to be carted out altogether.

Even WORSE than Paulo N.

but this is what's big today, and scott mills is on the ball.

Is he though, or has it been, in fact, recommended by someone else. Also, it's not the only thing big thing about TODAY (thank God) : example = Robbie Williams, Lady Gaga, etc., etc.

I find it to be repetitive nonsense, which sounds like any other club choon... they all sound the same really. Mindless. Even Zane Lowe commented just last week on how much of the stuff coming out at the moment sounds exactly the same.

Agreed. And so many people need to stop the sampling of songs from years back. Enough.

Right, the song you referred to is 'Proud Mary' which was first a hit way back in 1969 for Creedence Clearwater Revival. The version played was Ike and Tina Turner from 1971. Some of the lyrics are difficult to hear but I could hear no reference to 'buckets' !!!!! :hahaha:

More info here:

Thanx!! I don't know where I got the buckets from. :|

"The song was written on a steamboat called the Mary Elizabeth owned by the Grafton family" :*

Thanx for the Wiki stuff, Roy - very interesting indeed.

See, a little bit of history, DC, so I can learn something!! :-) Mind you, I've learned too that Sidney Sampson is a Dutch DJ!!

first and foremost though, you need to learn that everyone has different tastes to you. scott is capable of choosing his own tracks, he's probably been watching it send places wild when he's played it out at venues. waiting for the full release is important at radio 1 unless your annie mac or judge jules with specialist shows.

and excuse me. aren't you supposed to hate zane because of his comments about madonna (queen of the world est.)?

watch out for major lazer - pon de floor, another similar track. might get a release.

OK. Fair point. :) I guess you'll know best and all, working for actual Judge Jules!!

Zane kind of suited my point of view, at the moment when I was listening, when he came out with the comment that everything is sounding the same at the moment!! So many things do though (I stand by this point).

As to Madonna: Zane doesn't have a bloody clue.

What do you think of the Riverside video?? I don't like it, I'm afraid.
