The lead singer from chart-toppers N-Dubz is being treated in a Greek hospital for a suspected case of swine flu, the band's manager confirmed.

Tulisa Contostavlos, 20, from north London, was taken to hospital in Athens after being taken ill on a flight to the country on Thursday.

N-Dubz occupy top spot in the singles charts after featuring on east London singer Tinchy Stryder's hit, entitled Number 1.

Miss Contostavlos has undergone tests at the hospital in the Greek capital to determine if she has contracted the deadly virus.

Her personal manager is also undergoing swine flu tests.

Hip-hop three-piece N-Dubz, which include Miss Contostavlos's 21-year old cousin Dino and their childhood friend Richard Rawson, 22, have enjoyed huge success this year.

N-Dubz manager Jonathan Shalit said Miss Contostavlos's bandmates were "very worried" about her.

He said: "She was taken ill on the flight out to Greece on Thursday. Her bandmates are all very worried about her. They've just completed a massive nationwide tour.

"We've no idea how she got ill but the nature of being a singer is that you meet and shake hands with a huge amount of people."

The band are due to play at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Swindon next Sunday but the appearance will be in jeopardy if tests prove positive.

They all seem to have had a rubbish time with illness so I wouldn't be surprised if it's not just something going around. Strange this report isn't something on the news channels!

I very much doubt they will be performing now if she genuinely has slight symptoms like that. Unless the men just perform without her. As Computer says, Fearne said she'd take over if she "suddenly got ill" at the Big Weekend...

N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos has been released from hospital in Greece after being cleared of suspected swine flu.

The 20-year-old singer, who fell ill on a flight to Athens last week, left the medical facility in Pendeli after being told that she was suffering from a strain of regular flu.

She is expected to return to the UK imminently.

N-Dubz were last month forced to postpone a series of live shows after fellow band member Dappy Contostavlos was diagnosed with temporary deafness.

Good to hear then! Maybe she will still be good to play at the Big Weekend?
