ust seen a advert for a show about Scott going to LA with the Hoff  its on Living TV soon !!!

April 6th and April 13th at 10.00PM - Exclusively on LIVING On April 6th 2009 LIVING launches what promises to be a contender for TV event of the year. The Hoff: When Scott Came To Stay follows Radio One DJ Scott Mills as he flies out to L.A. to spend four manic days living the colourful life of legendary Baywatch and Knight Rider star David Hasselhoff. It’s one thing meeting your idol, quite another actually living with them – and in their own home! Living in The Hoff’s own Bel Air mansion, will Scott still be in awe of the man he has admired for 27 years or will his idol leave him disappointed? Will they leave as friends or not able to stand the sight of each other after living together for the first time?

The show gives viewers an access all areas pass to the wild world of The Hoff. From his extravagant £15 million mansion, to Learjets and jet skis, as well as constant adoration from the public at every turn, the series sees Scott attempt to uncover the man behind the myth.

The programme opens with Scott relaying his hopes to strip away the Hoff’s public persona and find out what truly makes the man tick. Clearly apprehensive, Scott ponders how he’ll cope with spending four days in such intimate, alien surroundings, made even more nerve wracking by the presence of his real life idol.

Within minutes of landing in L.A. Scott’s worst fears seem to become a reality when The Hoff whisks him away from his Bel Air mansion for an exhausting, high speed jet ski ride. With David at the helm, performing a series of Baywatch-style stunts, the pace is immediately set for the rest of the trip.

Within hours the boys, and entourage, are on a private jet to Las Vegas. On landing in the gambling capital of the world, they gatecrash The Hoffbrau House a riotous German bar where the Hoff launches into an impromptu performance of his Berlin Wall anthem ‘Freedom’, to a rapturous reception. Having taken the German bierkeller by storm, the boys then migrate to a top Vegas hotspot to attend a one-off club night organised in The Hoff’s honour, and party till dawn, even joining the Go Go dancers on stage and getting jiggy to the Knight Rider theme tune. David’s ‘Hoff’ alter ego is at the forefront of the entertainment every step of the way, but can Scott break the surface and uncover the real David Hasselhoff?

Once back in L.A. however, Scott finally begins to see the Hoff’s public persona peeling away as he witnesses family life, Hoff-style. In a recording studio, David’s two daughters begin their bid for pop success, recording their first single with Dad at the mixing desk. As the girls lay down their track, Scott begins to see a much more private side to David - a clearly doting father who wants only the best for his daughters and will do everything he can to help them achieve their dreams.

Later that evening, Scott and the Hoff co-host a barbeque for some of David’s closest friends and associates, before the two of them retire to relax and watch DVDs. As they watch video messages from fans, David finally opens his heart, offering Scott a true insight into the real David Hasselhoff, the man behind the myth.

David Hasselhoff says “Scott grew up watching Knight Rider so we thought it would be funny for him to come live with me. We condensed a lot of crazy stuff into four days and I don’t think he’ll ever forget it! It was pretty wild!”

Scott Mills says “That week in David’s L.A. house was the craziest time of my life. The show gives a genuine insight into the mayhem of the Hoff’s life; it really is as mental as you would expect it to be.”

The programme was filmed exclusively for LIVING by Summer Films in the UK and on location in the United States and will offer viewers a rare fly-on-the-wall look at the Hoff’s hectic L.A. lifestyle.

i think it's just you Jono,

the Hoff seems like a genuine bloke & even though he is just a normal person like everyone else, people will still go "Ooo look over there it's the Hoff" when they see him in the shops even if he has other people with him.

you have to admit that if you could hang out with celeb like the Hoff, Britney, Brad Pitt etc even just doing normal stuff like going out for lunch, shopping or just walking about some of them will rub off on you because everyone else will think "i wish i knew them (the celeb) & could hang out with them like their friend is", even though they do mundane stuff like the rest of us & maybe sometimes in a different way, i cannot imagine anyone turning down the chance to just be normal with their fave celeb in their own home or any celeb for that matter.

im not sure who i would choose to be honest  Britney, George Clooney, Elton John, Paris, Heff maybe ;) i dunno.

what about everyone else ?

:)

    • Less so with 5 Live. But with Nihal, Nicky Campbell and Mark Chapman get what you are saying.6 Music does have that with Huw Stephens, Mary Anne Hobbs, Gilles Peterson, Marc Riley and Mark Radcliffe
    • Agreed, Martha seems to quietly taken over as host of the Tuesday Bass and Big Beats show that Annie Nightingale did would be good to have some promotion to be done for her show. Agreed with this on bank holidays on a Radio 1 dance day inpaticular would be quite good to have Sarah Storey, Jaguar, Jeremiah Asiamah, Charlie Tee and Martha presenting. I always felt that in Christmas and New Year previously having Victoria Jane to do a Future Soul take over playlist.
    • To be fair to him, this week and next week he’s on his podcast tour which was arranged well before he started on R1. After that I would guess he’ll start being on everyday?
    • It’s Jamie’s dream of a lifetime to be a full time Radio 1 presenter apparently, but he can only do it 2 or 3 days a week.
    • Radio 1 generation meaning??  Today's 10-30 yr-olds? I doubt it. They'll still know Pete Tong though, because he is rhyming slang!
    • There was a time when everyone knew Zane Lowe or Annie Mac or Judge Jules or Dave Pearce or Annie Nightingale. Does the Radio 1 generation know the current bunch?
    • Looks like it's off to Preston!
    • Would be nice to give more presence to the specialist shows over bank holidays. Surely the best way to promote new music credentials over anthems? As much as I accept it's very popular.
    • Peak radio 1 ! I agree with Bluestraw there was huge presence by specialist presenters then , certainly something I think radio1 could do more of now. Remember the takeover where specialist DJs would swap into main shows for a week? Or do we recall In New DJs We Trust, the competition on Chris moyles show where the winner would get a DJ set at radio 1s Ibiza weekend, and that is how Danny Howard’s radio career starters
    • Yeah. He started on R1 in the late 90's when they used do the 'Sessions in the Nations' where they used to split for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. He then moved to daytimes, firstly on weekends in 2003 then they replaced Mark & Lard on the mid afternoon slot in 2004.  Then he moved to late evenings as a specialist DJ.
    • Thanks for sharing that - I don't think I've seen it before. Didn't realise that Colin Murray off of Countdown and R5L used to be on R1! Several other current R2/R5L/R6M names there too.
    • 29th April has updated to show Dan back as presenter but still Nels in for Alyx on Introducing Rock. 6th May schedule has updated to show that the Radio 1 Big Weekend Shows will now be the following: 6am-10am 10am-2pm 2pm-6pm 6pm-8pm Still no presenters listed.
    • Where do we think Radio 2 in the Park will be this year? Personally I'm thinking Swindon after Scott's clue of it having many roundabouts and since Big Weekend is at Luton I can't imagine they'd go to Milton Keynes.
    • Yeah, I feel like they need a big push on Jack to cement him in his new position. But it shouldn't just be Jack, you've got Sian and Alyx for instance, who are relatively new faces.
    • Now in it's third week, the new Capital Breakfast Show seems to be settling down well and there are more of the informal, random Jordan topics appearing.  Though it is clear he wants to be seen slightly differently. It really is a very decent listen.
