My trip to the Paul O'Grady show

It must have been the strangest experience of 2008 for me.

About 200 old people in a queue all fighting over whether they would get in or not because some had turned up late.

From the camp warm up guy to the audience who would LAUGH AT ANYTHING (even when they introduced people!) to Alan Carr talking about collecting trolleys as a young boy to Dervla Kirwan reading out a script as the voice of M&S. And then we had to all get up as Geraldine (Peter Kay) performed. The old people were then expected to sing along and do hand moves as balloons were launched from the ceiling.

Very bizarre but rather amusing too. The show airs at 5pm on Friday night.

Yeah, mostly old people but it was quite interesting to see how they recorded it. There's not too much fakery involved as far as I could see but certainly the studio isn't very big and you're told to remember this is "as if it's going out live on Friday".
