THE WEEKEND TV CHAOS, STRICTLY EMOTION & MARTIN KEMP’S SPARKLE
Scott opened the week still reeling from the drama-filled weekend of telly, confessing he was “quite choked up” about the Strictly results and joking about his “neighbour Martin Kemp” not winning I’m A Celeb. He couldn’t hide his delight in replaying James Acaster’s tapas-fuelled meltdown on Saturday Kitchen, shouting, “Tapas! Yeah! Bye!” with full commitment.

Ellie also showcased her tin whistle antics at the pub, where, in her words, “I silenced the pub… in a good way.” Tina wasn’t quite convinced, remarking she’d probably “move tables.”
The big moment of pride was Tina winning the Legends Award for Points of View. As she explained, it’s “been on air since 1961… almost as long as Scott,” which the team immediately seized upon. The trio reflected on the joy of viewer complaints, with Scott noting, “Tina can’t do that show without your complaints. Keep them coming.”

THE RETURN OF THE AUSSIE TWINS & THE GOOD MORNING “TWINIT”
Scott teased the return of Paula and Brigitte — the viral Australian twins famous for speaking in sync. He played the clip of them saying, “We don’t buy one another a Christmas present because we just feel like we’re buying it for ourselves,” which the team attempted (chaotically) to recreate.
Then the producers forced Scott and Ellie to do the Good Morning Minute in full twin-sync mode, renamed the Good Morning Twinit. It devolved into joyful nonsense, with Scott admitting it was “a big arse” of a task and Ellie accidentally snorting mid-read. Pure breakfast gold.

Trey delivered a standout Pause for Thought, sharing the story of his friend Mary — a “foul-mouthed, chain-smoking alcoholic” yoga teacher who unexpectedly found her calling helping hospital patients recover movement. His reflections — “nothing’s impossible with God” — prompted a wave of listener praise. Scott summed it up as “a great example of the power of never giving up on your dreams.”

ALEX SCOTT: FRESH FROM THE JUNGLE

Alex spoke candidly about the mental challenge of the jungle, emphasising that it wasn’t the trials but the long stretches of waiting, exhaustion and hunger that broke people down. “There’s no secret Kit Kats out the back,” she stressed, “and no one giving you a cup of tea.” She described carrying logs, damp clothes, barely edible rice, and the difficulty of staying positive. The biggest surprise was how physically draining the lack of food became, making even simple tasks feel overwhelming.

She also let listeners in on the truth about jungle food. Tony Blackburn had asked if she enjoyed the infamous rice and beans, reminiscing about getting extra portions, but Alex replied in disbelief: “Did they have basmati or long grain back then? Because they have changed it.” She said the rice now “tastes like wood” and that after a while you “don’t even want to eat it.” It was one of the few moments she sounded traumatised all over again.

Alex lit up when telling Scott about the friendships forged in camp. She said viewers might think it’s cliched when celebrities claim they make “friends for life,” but insisted, “Only the 12 of you know what it’s really like.” She described late-night conversations, emotional breakthroughs and the family-like support system they built. Martin Kemp, she said, was “the loveliest human,” sharing stories and wisdom that became “campfire gold.” Alex said he left camp saying he had “11 new friends,” something she felt proud to be part of.

Her warmth intensified whenever Jess was mentioned. Scott had seen her behind the scenes at events during Alex’s absence and described how she couldn’t stop talking about Alex. Alex confirmed it: “We’ve found each other and we’ve just never known love like it. She’s my person.” Scott beamed as she spoke, clearly thrilled for them both. Ellie delivered another emotional tin-whistle attempt at Fairytale of New York, prompting salons across the UK to pause their hairdryers just to witness the chaos. One listener’s four-year-old asked, “What’s that noise?” But as Scott said, she is improving — “just a little pitchy.”

THE BIRTHDAY GAME: CHAOS FROM DULWICH
Danny from Dulwich attempted the easiest quiz and delivered possibly the most unforgettable answer ever. To “What lives in the ocean?” he answered… “Water.” Scott collapsed laughing and declared they couldn’t restart. Danny then revealed he didn’t know if Wham! had ever made a Christmas song (Last Christmas, Danny!), prompting listeners to lose their minds.

THE SWEATER INCIDENT
At the handover, Scott and Vernon discovered they were wearing the exact same jumper — and both had topped up their fake tan the night before. Scott confessed: “You have influenced me… I saw you wearing this jumper on Instagram and bought it.” Vernon proposed they message each other daily to avoid future matching.
