Anyone think Aled would make a brilliant DG? He must be coming close to the end of his tenure at Radio 1.

I think it would be unlikely for him to go straight to director general, but I could definitely see him as Director of Music or Sounds very soon

Wonder if/when Aled moves on from Radio 1 there’ll be another big raft of schedule changes - if you look at when both he and Ben Cooper started and then go forward a couple years it’s huge change in both cases.

I suppose it’s possible that the next head of the station might want to get rid of some of the older faces such as Greg, RMC and Danny Howard, whether this is for right or wrong.
