First Danny Beard now this. It's a shame that Radio 1 seem to resort to this when they have so many strong presenters on the books both permanently or as regular cover.

Presumably they're banking on her bringing an audience that wouldn't usually listen but they want to attract, which is all well and good if it isn't at the expense of good quality radio and the existing listeners. There's a big difference between hosting a podcast and a radio show on a national BBC station.

If it was existing Radio 1 presenter and GK Barry as co host, it would be slightly more palatable. I dread to think who the 'co hosts' will be.
