"Cor I'd do her" - Annoying Colleagues

Two people started work last night. Fair enough, they're from up North and they're slightly chavvy. No problem with that, and the girl seems alright. But her boyfriend of 20 (who I must add looks about 12) is so crude I cringe everytime he talks! He calls me "Jon" which is bad enough, and then names everyone in the shop and says loudly "cor I'd do her" or "would you blow your load over her". How wrong is that! He then spent most of tonight texting some other girl.

Do you have co-workers who you really hate, or hate people who act like this?

Nope, daytime I'm the boss so I only hire people I like and get rid of those I don't and at night I work on ym own so the only people who annoy me are those who say "but everyone wants to hear it...." or "Got that Rhianna song?"

Childish and adolescent behaviour is the sign of a deep seated fear of sexual inadequacy either founded or unfounded.

Mind you I'd do that Kelly Brook!

Where I work there are only 9 people.

The owner is a big fat sexist lardarse who thinks he knows more about anything than he actually does.

My immediate boss is one of those who never does anything wrong, and if he does it's always someone else's fault.

Then there's a sloth who's alleged to be an accountant. I have never encountered a more lazy good for nowt waste of space in my entire working life.

If there was a version of pop idol re jigged and called work idle, the lummox would win hands down.

Annoying colleAges. Ha! me.

I'm so fortunate to only have 4 colleagues, as my Academy is a small one.

However I have had plenty of 'lovely' past experiences... Especially one particularly gorgeous individual, whose sage response to any female member of staff behaving strangely was: 'She just needs a good sh*g'.

He should've been a psychiatrist! :D

I know people like that, shouting obsenities across the social area = not nice.

Actually, something like that happened to me on Wednesday morning. I was waiting for the bus, and the cocklers were on their tractors going across the square, and I saw one that looked around 15, and thought: "How sad, he has no drive to do anything useful in life." I actually kind of felt sorry for him, until he shouted to his mate: "I'd shag her!", then: "What's your number, then?" to me, so I completely acted like they weren't there. It was so embarassing.

I've realised I've become a bit like this, today I was talking to a girl in my year about another guy (they're sort of seeing each other) and she was saying she didn't want to get up to much sexually, so I said "well, he's quite sexually active, but he's not going to shove his cock in your mouth or anything", then only realised what I'd said when a bunch of shocked year sevens looked at me.

Hehe ... The year 7's at my school are used to stuff like that ... We get the upper school dudes shouting some really nasty stuff about "what the did the other night" or rather "WHO they did the other night" Its not fair on the year 7's tho. Some of them are gonna be mentally scared for the rest of there lifes ....

Wow, that was subtle...

There is one guy in my office who does my head in. He's in his 40's/ 50's and as I'm 18 he seems to think he can treat me like as though I'm below him. He act's as though he's like my dad, constantly telling me what to do. I have no problem telling me how to do my job as I'm a trainee but also telling me how to speak to my friends and that I need to diet is well out of order.

He also has a moustache which could rival the village people.

Make me shudder when I hear things like that. Once worked with a guy that on his second day of work took one look at a female worker and said to me "I bet she goes like a jack hammer" I explained to him in words I knew he would understand that she was my girlfriend and if I ever heard him say anything like that again he would be walking like John Wayne for the rest of his life.......funny thing is we never saw him again.

    • Just Vick and Katie on Wednesday (and presumably Thursday as well).
    • Unless people can provide a source for this information then it should be treated as false.   Why would Jordan sign a contract with the BBC in the autumn when he agreed a deal with Global?  He could have left in August and not had to deal with the BBC.  Vick who doesn't really like Global why would she recommend him to go there and then warn him in her post to be careful?   It's been whispered from October that Roman was thinking of going.  Roman and Jordan have the same management team.  Why would they put Jordan in a place where he would have to battle with the BBC.  They could have agreed a deal with Global for Jordan in the summer.  They might have had to pay first couple months but they would do they to secure him.  If they had known about Roman wanting to leave they could have paid Roman off to get Jordan on air quicker.  Global would also not had legal around BBC contract to deal with and would not have had to pay the BBC to release Jordan.  None of what people say makes sense and if it did happen the way people say then BBC are not the stupid ones.  It really is not a good look to be talking with Global for 6 months, to then sign a contract with a the BBC, continue to talk to Global behind BBC's back after signing and then couple of months later want to leave and to throw a hissy fit as the BBC are not giving you what you want when you want it. That not a good light for Jordan or his management.
    • Wow, surprised he signed a new contract in September but it says a lot about Jordan that he continued to a very high standard throughout last summer/autumn if this was all going on in the background.
    • They knew Roman wanted to leave early last year but wasn't officially announced but he gave them time to sort replacement. Found and offered Jordan a deal in June or July and needed time to get Jordan out of Contract at bbc and roman to do notice  Jordan had dinner with Katie Vick and Arielle to ask advice and all said he should go.
    • And they told Radio 4’s Feedback that it was an ‘experiment’ to ‘look at the best way to serve young listeners’ but reaffirmed that 280 hours commitment.
    • I doubt he wanted to go to Global if a slot before he found out kemp was leaving.
    • We're hoping to get some answers in the coming weeks
    • From what he's saying on the Pod he's been trying to get out of r1 for a while. Looks like he needed to wait for a show on global to be available. Jordan had bbq last summer with most of thr global execs and he's referenced the deal was in place then. Obviously the hold up was r1 being stubborn
    • All seems to be back to normal this morning.
    • Indeed and Jordan was already friends with Sian Welby, Will Manning and Jimmy Hill.
    • It's great to see those friendships still thriving. I think the days of Radio 1 DJs and Capital DJs being unable to co-exist is long over. You used to either be firmly BBC or commercial, and you don't get the sense that's the case anymore.
    • Maia Beth will be presenting the Radio 1 Happy shows from the 27th April replacing Katie.  https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001ydkr
    • Vick and Jordan together on Insta (with Ariel’s) in Ibiza. You do imagine Jordan’s ex colleagues have a very different attitude to him than management. Comments on Help! And very subtle comments on Capital Breakfast suggest Jordan was frustrated with Radio 1 / BBC management.
    • I can name quite a few people on this forum who would be better presenters than Danny.
    • His NYE shows were very good. Only thing I would say is he was shackled down slightly there. During his peak he played some great trance stuff in the late 90s and early 00s. So if he were to do a regular show that would have to feature more. Aside from I'd love to see him back.
