It's a bit weird, I'm excited about the breakfast shows. I was hoping I'd get to spend more time talking to dad before 7am and get him to make me a cup of tea. So the one week I'm up, everyone else wants a lie in.

But no m'darling, it's the chart show today...

Depends which bit... you had to listen for the ham roast stuff, as for the "rad" stuff, I was listening to local radio last night which was networked, and I was quite amazed she said rad...

I was quite amused on the shambles that is T4 On The Beach they asked Kate Nash if she was excited that she might be Number 1 this week. Why?! She's not going to do it!

Hope Biffy Clyro does well.

Time to update the 'Your Views' to say that I'll be around in the morning, urgh. I wasn't really sure about downloading this Thrills track. Nice band, but not sure whether it's any good their latest work.

I'm meeting the manager of the UEA's livewire station on Wednesday. The station is really over-subscribed, but Greg James said to get in touch with him and say I know him and do UM. And I did so, and the guy seems keen.

I imagine everyone's still reading Harry Potter  I do like that Wikipedia gives away the ending, I would have those geeky sites would be against that!

I know, its sad isnt it, I was quite tempted to go and read the ending in Whsmiths today..

*Dances along to Maroon 5*

It's easy just to find the ending on forums and stuff. I didn't need to move to find out the ending. I wouldn't have lost any sleep over it, as I don't know the characters.

Some local radio DJ on my MSN Messenger was trying to come on to me last night, and he's a bloke. And it was just disturbing... it wasn't being nice about it!

I was like 'er, bub-bye!'

Oh dear, that chap on here that seemed to be all over Amerie's single is going to have to do a lot more posting if he wants to convince the world it's "single of the year".

I like that Lee Mead said the stage was sabotaged. Yes, it was those pesky people from the other side who were doing 'Grease'.

Urgh, some woman just rang me sounding quite annoyed she'd rung me and got the right number, but not the person she was wanting to speak to. That's not my fault!

She's definitely got the wrong number calling from County Down, Northern Ireland.

Our house number is nearly the same as a big landfill site so you get these really rough men ringing up like "I have the right number love" err no you dont, goo awayy..

My best friend got two kittens last night, im trying to help her think of names im like "Ema's a nice name"

It annoys me the whole naming process of new animals. I don't really understand the fuss, first name that pops into my head will do.

It feels a bit odd listening to the chart show this week. I tend to listen one every month at the most, it's been a bit too regularly recently, the chart doesn't seem to move enough.

I like that Mutya went into a huge hissy fit recently when she found out Amelle Berrabah off of the Sugababes wrote one of the songs on her album, and she went along with it without knowing.

"Mutya was fuming and wanted the track taken off. They wouldn't ditch the song so they compromised by changing Amelle's name to a made-up one in the credits."

    • At a time when Radio 1 has surely lost listeners to Capital at Breaktast you’d be trying to protect the station so people switch back.  Certainly yesterday I didn’t switch back to Radio 1 at all.
    • Was abysmal…Surely Danny can’t be a contender for anything permanent when the new schedules are locked in I.e Matt and Mollies slot
    • Alexandra Burke creating the phrase 'Elephant In The Room' whooooooooo
    • Zane Versus.... Whooooooooo. Do You Do Fridays? WhooOOOooo.
    • The Capital Breakfast show is right up my street so far - such a fun listen. You've both been great on Radio 1 and are sounding excellent again on Capital A few quickfire questions: You've both been part of some great pairings on radio and on podcast - what goes into making a duo or trio work and sound great on air? Also, Chris - were there ever any discussions about you moving over to Radio 2 with Scott or had the Global offer already come first? Also how do you both go about managing that split between your radio 'you' and the private 'you'? You share a lot on air but also there's some understandably some stuff you keep private (famously Jordan doesn't 'talk about those things'). And how do you make sure if you're having a miserable day or are a bit low that it doesn't come across too much on air?
    • What a nightmare link at 11.15am this morning. Spent 30 seconds waffling about the name of The Last Dinner Party as if he’d never heard it before, then started mentioning Capital and the license fee, and how it’s been used to pay for him to be there, and was then cut off by the start of the next song.
    • Have been reading this all week. She's such a brave woman. Just got to the chapter where she explains why she missed Scott's leaving event at Radio 1. She talks about leaving Radio 1 because her mum's health got worse, and wanting to quietly leave radio at 44 just how she first arrived on the airwaves at 18. Worth a read!
    • Frozen Indigo Angel... Whoooooooo?!!
    • Did it take a lot of tempting to go to Capital Jordan? Did you feel like you’d achieved everything you could at Radio 1 (other than breakfast)? Chris, how did your Capital move come about? Did Radio 1 want you to stay after Scott moved on?

    • I never expected to be enjoying a commercial radio Breakfast Show, but this is a good listen and less adverts than I might have expected.
    • It's got more of a Fri/ Sat feeling to it, for me. But there's nothing inherently wrong with the show.
    • Think it's a lot more fun when they don't have guests and have to find ideas to fill a show.  Them doing some calming traffic reports around the most stressful part of the day. I wonder if there's more they could do with that - 8.15am being the most stressful time. Anyway, I think that of most radio shows, I'd rather hear the creativity than an overhyped celebrity. Greg had it right yesterday with Tom Allen, he wasn't really just there to promote The Apprentice, but to do comedy too.
    • Got to admit I only heard a bit of it tonight whilst driving but I loved it! Will definitely be listening back to this one and in future. Just what Thursday nights needed! 💗
    • Right, despite what Jordan may say now, I think he (and probably Chris) would rather be doing R1 breakfast but seems he was told that wasn't at all imminent so made the understandable move to go elsewhere. Doubt Greg will move off breakfast anytime soon as he's got a new contract and anyway no obvious replacement in line... They certainly have thrown some energy behind competing these last couple of weeks though.
