Those Australian aerobic girls on Sky Sports 1 in the morning are missing out on a trick here. We could take this to Sky Sports 2 to rival it! Dirty men would watch that in the morning

Eastenders. Are they trying to make it The Archers with all these radio adverts.

Kanye West. You can't argue with his lyrics really can you.

Hahaha. I'm so with Scott on this. Harry Hill is the best to happen to You've Been Framed since Jeremy Beadle left! The bits with the music are naff, but his commentary his great.

That and TV Burp made Saturday night's amazin'. Until TV Burp finished.

I haven't seen You've Been Framed for a good few years now. I don't even know when it's on!

Any day ITV can't be arsed to do programming. Bank holidays, and Saturday nights.

His humour is so dry, I guess it matches Chopper's, which might be why he doesn't like it...?!

Sara Cox and The Klaxons plus you? That's one dodgy idea for a 'big weekend' what with her innuendos.

The 'Free Paris Hilton' campaign doesn't pack the same punch as the 'Free Deidre' one.

In what way are we freeing her? She doesn't need freeing much. I'd buy a t-shirt!

My sister is gutted 'My Hero and My Family is my favourite programmes' she said.

You have to be there Jembie, it is funny. Especially if he picks on what people are wearing or saying!

I don't have a bedroom window. :( But I used to like My Family when the eldest son (Nick, I think) was in it, he was hilarious!

Now the script is as good as Mad About Alice.

Also Chopper seems to have killed off Neighbours. Since he said he disliked it, they've been in all sorts of mess at the Beeb!

What about that crazy programme America's Craziest Pets or something they put on ITV. That's an awful show. That and out take programmes are awful these days. I saw TV's Naughtiest Blunders with Neil Morrisey (why?!) at the weekend. What an odd show.

I think the good thing about YBF is the fact you don't have to sit through minutes on minutes of the presenter making rubbish tacky jokes these days. But they have a lot of American clips now.

    • There was a time when everyone knew Zane Lowe or Annie Mac or Judge Jules or Dave Pearce or Annie Nightingale. Does the Radio 1 generation know the current bunch?
    • Looks like it's off to Preston!
    • Would be nice to give more presence to the specialist shows over bank holidays. Surely the best way to promote new music credentials over anthems? As much as I accept it's very popular.
    • Peak radio 1 ! I agree with Bluestraw there was huge presence by specialist presenters then , certainly something I think radio1 could do more of now. Remember the takeover where specialist DJs would swap into main shows for a week? Or do we recall In New DJs We Trust, the competition on Chris moyles show where the winner would get a DJ set at radio 1s Ibiza weekend, and that is how Danny Howard’s radio career starters
    • Yeah. He started on R1 in the late 90's when they used do the 'Sessions in the Nations' where they used to split for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. He then moved to daytimes, firstly on weekends in 2003 then they replaced Mark & Lard on the mid afternoon slot in 2004.  Then he moved to late evenings as a specialist DJ.
    • Thanks for sharing that - I don't think I've seen it before. Didn't realise that Colin Murray off of Countdown and R5L used to be on R1! Several other current R2/R5L/R6M names there too.
    • 29th April has updated to show Dan back as presenter but still Nels in for Alyx on Introducing Rock.
    • Where do we think Radio 2 in the Park will be this year? Personally I'm thinking Swindon after Scott's clue of it having many roundabouts and since Big Weekend is at Luton I can't imagine they'd go to Milton Keynes.
    • Yeah, I feel like they need a big push on Jack to cement him in his new position. But it shouldn't just be Jack, you've got Sian and Alyx for instance, who are relatively new faces.
    • Now in it's third week, the new Capital Breakfast Show seems to be settling down well and there are more of the informal, random Jordan topics appearing.  Though it is clear he wants to be seen slightly differently. It really is a very decent listen.
    • Just watched that advert and it made me realise quite how many 'big' specialist presenters there were back then
    • I've been reminded of this Radio 1 cinema advert. I remember being so excited to see it. The In New Music We Trust era. Everything felt so cool, even if they had Westwood.
    • Just Vick and Katie on Wednesday (and presumably Thursday as well).
    • Unless people can provide a source for this information then it should be treated as false.   Why would Jordan sign a contract with the BBC in the autumn when he agreed a deal with Global?  He could have left in August and not had to deal with the BBC.  Vick who doesn't really like Global why would she recommend him to go there and then warn him in her post to be careful?   It's been whispered from October that Roman was thinking of going.  Roman and Jordan have the same management team.  Why would they put Jordan in a place where he would have to battle with the BBC.  They could have agreed a deal with Global for Jordan in the summer.  They might have had to pay first couple months but they would do they to secure him.  If they had known about Roman wanting to leave they could have paid Roman off to get Jordan on air quicker.  Global would also not had legal around BBC contract to deal with and would not have had to pay the BBC to release Jordan.  None of what people say makes sense and if it did happen the way people say then BBC are not the stupid ones.  It really is not a good look to be talking with Global for 6 months, to then sign a contract with a the BBC, continue to talk to Global behind BBC's back after signing and then couple of months later want to leave and to throw a hissy fit as the BBC are not giving you what you want when you want it. That not a good light for Jordan or his management.
    • Wow, surprised he signed a new contract in September but it says a lot about Jordan that he continued to a very high standard throughout last summer/autumn if this was all going on in the background.
