I think at this stage, thanks to all of todays announcements and Kirsten O’Brien’s move to R2, that it’s fair to assume that OJ will take over drivetime, and Richie will be taking overnights. I think the delayed announcement will be due to the logistics and contracts around moving drivetime to Salford and the impact that will have on production teams and facilities. We’ve seen this before when it took R1 so long to announce Sam & Danni as the weekend afternoon hosts. That was due to the impact of moving production of weekend breakfast from Cardiff to Salford. -

The new breakfast show team has been confirmed as Sara Cox, Ellie Brennan and Matt Carter as the new newsreader. -
Nothing against Ellie but would’ve thought they’d want a fresh new team but there we go -

Mylo and Rosie are on early breakfast tomorrow as a result. -
Greg said he’s off tomorrow so Dean will sit in. Expected to be back Thursday pending family engagement. I’m not a huge Dean fan but there we go.

Ellie is staying so that rules that out. Tina is leaving. It could be that they don't want a dedicated news reader on Radio 2. They share with 6Music the rest of the day. There are cuts being announced in the next week. -
That is possible. The thing that seems odd about it is Richie suddenly being replaced on the travel. He was already fitting his tv duties in around it (and to be fair he seemed to be off less in the afternoon than he did at breakfast) so that's why my mind went to him being the midnight host (especially with him already doing it on a Monday)

It's basically because they've got Vicky at TRNSMT on the Friday - as then it's Vicky & Minah on Saturday and Sunday. Vicky does seem a slightly left-field choice to be covering TRNSMT I have to be honest. -
I actually think Ellie Brennan won’t be there. I would imagine the BBC wants a fresh slate. Although, I imagine Tina will remain on news duties. Perhaps Ellie will be given an overnight slot, perhaps OJ’s when he is finally announced as Sara Cox’s successor on Drivetime.

Interesting choice. Mylo & Rosie don't seem like the type of people to be on Group Chat (that's not saying they're bad, they're fantastic but was expecting someone like Lauren Redfern.) -
Isn't Taylor Swift's wedding supposedly meant to be around that date..? 👀😆
