I remember it like yesterday, coming home from school and seeing it was a sight i couldn't belive.

I didn't hear at the time. But checking through the chrismoyles.net archived posts. Mark & Lard & Moyles did a good job of handling it.

The old mayor of New York who was in power at the time of the attacks was in London when the train bombs went off. So when he was on tv earlier he was saying about how real the threat still is...

There was a progarame on channel 4 the other day called "The Man Who Predicted 9/11" a guy named Rick Rescorla who was security chief of Morgan Stanley, who had come from Britan. And he worked just under the disaster zone in the second tower. He had around 2500 people who worked for his company, he had an evacuation plan which he kicked into action when the wtc was bombed in 1993. No-one took any notice, but he made his employes practice it. When the time came to use it he stopped in the towers to make sure all of his employees were out. He could of walked straight out of there, but he went back up to try and save the people above the impact zone. He died when the tower fell down.

In his efforts he managed to save half the amount what died in the wtc that day. I never even knew of the guy until the other day.

If it gets repeated on channel 4 through the night or somthing sometime, i suggest people watch it rather than the x-factor or whatever crap may be on at the time.

He had a feeling that they were going to be attacked and they were in 1993. Then the feel of threat after that got stronger for him becuase the 93' attack made him realise how vounrable they were...

So he was predicting 9/11 and getting ready for it when everyone had forgotten the 93' attacks.

The following link is to a spreadsheet that the Lets Roll Forums obtained through a FOIA request made by Dave Cole. What we requested from the Port Authority of New York New Jersey was in essence a surprise occupancy audit of the World Trade Center. What we requested;

1. A complete listing of all occupants of the world trade center, from the time they were finished to the time they went private, in 2001.

2. Listing of occupants by floor and by space

3. Listing of occupants leases, with the start and end dates of those leases.

What we received back was shocking and in no way anticipated. Please open this spreadsheet now in another browser tab, so you can have this open and go back and forth as your reading this story. (right click, open link in new tab)

You might be surprised to discover that floor 7 of the North World Trade Center went completely unoccupied throughout the entire life of the building and was only rented out for the first time on 11/23/1998.

Floor 7 was the floor directly above the lobby of each tower, in essence, it is floor #1, from street level. Floor 7 was prime real estate, as the rent was more expensive in the towers as you went higher. The prestige value. Thus floor 7 was far cheaper then floor 89.

For 26 years, floor 7 of the North Tower was totally vacant. From 1972 until 1998. This also means that during the 1993 bombing that this floor was completely unoccupied. Larry will touch on this in a follow up post as he spent dozens and dozens of hours scouring these sheets with regards to the 1993 bombing vs. occupancy, and it is a top notch story all in it's own.

Wow quick lets jump on the bandwagon there was a floor free because they wanted to charge people more. Does it actually matter? They still would have collapsed.

most of these conspiricy nutters were anti bush and his party before 9/11 anyway. so it was the perfect excuse to make something up to go against him. apparently 7/7 was an inside job now, yeah right! so i guess the ira attacks in the 70's was then while we're on. lets say world war 2 was while we're at it!

don't you find it strange that for 25 odd years both towers were near enough empty & only two years before 2001 tenants started moving in, also none of the leases run into 2012.

who said Bush knew about it ? Bush had the same amount of control as Obama does now which is very little, the IRA was supported or tolerated by the United States government, evidence for this includes allowing fundraising even though UK government had asked them to ban it, not extraditing IRA members from the United States to the UK, i dunno about WWII Hmmm

agreed. the fact that these conspiricy theorists also go against people who were there that day too, makes it worse

      Now in it's third week, the new Capital Breakfast Show seems to be settling down well and there are more of the informal, random Jordan topics appearing.  Though it is clear he wants to be seen slightly differently. It really is a very decent listen.

      Unless people can provide a source for this information then it should be treated as false.   Why would Jordan sign a contract with the BBC in the autumn when he agreed a deal with Global?  He could have left in August and not had to deal with the BBC.  Vick who doesn't really like Global why would she recommend him to go there and then warn him in her post to be careful?   It's been whispered from October that Roman was thinking of going.  Roman and Jordan have the same management team.  Why would they put Jordan in a place where he would have to battle with the BBC.  They could have agreed a deal with Global for Jordan in the summer.  They might have had to pay first couple months but they would do they to secure him.  If they had known about Roman wanting to leave they could have paid Roman off to get Jordan on air quicker.  Global would also not had legal around BBC contract to deal with and would not have had to pay the BBC to release Jordan.  None of what people say makes sense and if it did happen the way people say then BBC are not the stupid ones.  It really is not a good look to be talking with Global for 6 months, to then sign a contract with a the BBC, continue to talk to Global behind BBC's back after signing and then couple of months later want to leave and to throw a hissy fit as the BBC are not giving you what you want when you want it. That not a good light for Jordan or his management.

      Wow, surprised he signed a new contract in September but it says a lot about Jordan that he continued to a very high standard throughout last summer/autumn if this was all going on in the background.

      They knew Roman wanted to leave early last year but wasn't officially announced but he gave them time to sort replacement. Found and offered Jordan a deal in June or July and needed time to get Jordan out of Contract at bbc and roman to do notice  Jordan had dinner with Katie Vick and Arielle to ask advice and all said he should go.

      From what he's saying on the Pod he's been trying to get out of r1 for a while. Looks like he needed to wait for a show on global to be available. Jordan had bbq last summer with most of thr global execs and he's referenced the deal was in place then. Obviously the hold up was r1 being stubborn

      It's great to see those friendships still thriving. I think the days of Radio 1 DJs and Capital DJs being unable to co-exist is long over. You used to either be firmly BBC or commercial, and you don't get the sense that's the case anymore.

      Vick and Jordan together on Insta (with Ariel’s) in Ibiza. You do imagine Jordan’s ex colleagues have a very different attitude to him than management. Comments on Help! And very subtle comments on Capital Breakfast suggest Jordan was frustrated with Radio 1 / BBC management.
