I'm sorry, but I don't tune in for stars from the telly. It may work on Radio 2 with the likes of Ross and O'Leary, I don't know.

Vernon has worked, but I don't think Fearne and Reggie yet have worked hard enough for a weekend slot. If you look at Moyles and Mills they were on Early Breakfast for years before getting a weekend slot. They did a 5 day week. Fearne and Reggie have done one day a week for about 10 months.

I, however, am one for giving people chances, and I will be checking out their show to see what it is like when they come on air.

It may be just some of us showing our age, and that they will bring in new listeners. But it's ironic it was announced on the same day TOTP ended - a show which in the last few years was criticised for the new version that they presented which appealed to just the teeny boppers.

Read this from a thread on digital spy (taken from media guradian)

Cotton and Yates are seen as rising stars at the BBC and their appointment to the weekend slot could make them in contenders for the main weekday breakfast show should Moyles ever depart.

Up until now, JK and Joel have been seen as the natural successors to Moyles, as they already present the weekday early breakfast from 4am to 7am from Monday to Thursday.

Contenders for taking over Moyles, thats one of the most stupid pieces of journilism I have ever read.

Radio porn?

"It may not be immediately obvious, but you're about to listen to the best comedy programme on radio today. And amazingly, nobody seems to be trying to stop it. Which is particularly amazing given that it's the work of legendary media terrorist Chris Morris."
