'Radio 1' a brand of the past

As part of the BBC's restructure, they want to move away from the 1920 and 1930's term of 'radio' and 'television'.

Instead, there will be two divisions called BBC Vision and Audio and Music.

Although there's no immediate plans to change 'Radio 1' or 2, 3, 4 or 5 - if you check out the digital stations, none of them feature the term 'radio' - 6Music, 7, or 5Live Sports Xtra.

Could you go around saying you're listening to the audio rather than wireless or radio?

I've noticed that on my dad's digital radio Radio 1 is listed under 'R' for radio when it's alphabetical, rather than 'B' for BBC like Radio 2, 3, 4. I get confused by the concept of BBC7 being radio and BBC4 being TV. However I can get Radio 1 on my TV, so I guess TV and radio are coming together. Maybe in 20 years time we'll all be saying "radio" and it'll be as old fashioned a concept as a "wireless".
