Will anyone be uploading Grimmy's Breakfast Show Free Download to Unofficial Mills?

I can listen to the whole daily show on iplayer but it isn't available in Australia as a podcast for some reason to do with rights :( and also I don't have 3 hours a day to put aside to listen :)

I have no idea what is wrong with you. It was just a 10 minute chat before Grimmy's Big Thing with a member of 1D every day. What's wrong with it? When Moyles were talking with Cheryl Cole for an hour or something you haven't said "hahahaha Radio Cheryl Cole breakfast show hahahahaha". But it's not Moyles, it's Grimshaw, I think that's the problem for you.

and one direction are hosting a whole bloody day. Radio 1 got into trouble for the U2 thing, I have no idea how they can get away with the 1D orgy Nick Grimshaw and Ben Copper are currently orchestrating for radio 1 listeners.

Maybe because 1D are in the age bracket

It's a niche part of the age bracket. 15-29, I'm not sure how many over 18s are fussed, let alone over 20s. They're (pretty much) ignoring half of their youngest audience anyway - not many teenage boys wish to here about 1D, every day. and ALL day at the teen awards.

Just listened to the podcast and I wasn't mad on it, it needs less guests more banter with Nick and the team and his anecdotes and the Quiz! If you look at this week they could have scrapped all the 1D calls, Louis Smith & Bieber who were all quite dull. Emma Watson, Matt Smith, Example and Pro Green were all fairly interesting though but I suppose it's all subjective. Surprised Alicia Keys wasn't on it maybe she'll be on next weeks.

Yes, I feel they are alienating the rest of their audience. Personally except Scott I haven't listened to Radio 1 at all since the last Chris Moyles Show.

Alicia wasnt on it as the podcast came out on Thursday and she was on air on Friday.

I was actaully suprised they didnt have the banter on their between him, Fincham, Ian and Fiona. I actually think that is Nick's strongest part!

      Would be nice to give more presence to the specialist shows over bank holidays. Surely the best way to promote new music credentials over anthems? As much as I accept it's very popular.

      Peak radio 1 ! I agree with Bluestraw there was huge presence by specialist presenters then , certainly something I think radio1 could do more of now. Remember the takeover where specialist DJs would swap into main shows for a week? Or do we recall In New DJs We Trust, the competition on Chris moyles show where the winner would get a DJ set at radio 1s Ibiza weekend, and that is how Danny Howard’s radio career starters

      Yeah. He started on R1 in the late 90's when they used do the 'Sessions in the Nations' where they used to split for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. He then moved to daytimes, firstly on weekends in 2003 then they replaced Mark & Lard on the mid afternoon slot in 2004.  Then he moved to late evenings as a specialist DJ.

      Thanks for sharing that - I don't think I've seen it before. Didn't realise that Colin Murray off of Countdown and R5L used to be on R1! Several other current R2/R5L/R6M names there too.

      Where do we think Radio 2 in the Park will be this year? Personally I'm thinking Swindon after Scott's clue of it having many roundabouts and since Big Weekend is at Luton I can't imagine they'd go to Milton Keynes.

      Yeah, I feel like they need a big push on Jack to cement him in his new position. But it shouldn't just be Jack, you've got Sian and Alyx for instance, who are relatively new faces.

      Now in it's third week, the new Capital Breakfast Show seems to be settling down well and there are more of the informal, random Jordan topics appearing.  Though it is clear he wants to be seen slightly differently. It really is a very decent listen.

      Unless people can provide a source for this information then it should be treated as false.   Why would Jordan sign a contract with the BBC in the autumn when he agreed a deal with Global?  He could have left in August and not had to deal with the BBC.  Vick who doesn't really like Global why would she recommend him to go there and then warn him in her post to be careful?   It's been whispered from October that Roman was thinking of going.  Roman and Jordan have the same management team.  Why would they put Jordan in a place where he would have to battle with the BBC.  They could have agreed a deal with Global for Jordan in the summer.  They might have had to pay first couple months but they would do they to secure him.  If they had known about Roman wanting to leave they could have paid Roman off to get Jordan on air quicker.  Global would also not had legal around BBC contract to deal with and would not have had to pay the BBC to release Jordan.  None of what people say makes sense and if it did happen the way people say then BBC are not the stupid ones.  It really is not a good look to be talking with Global for 6 months, to then sign a contract with a the BBC, continue to talk to Global behind BBC's back after signing and then couple of months later want to leave and to throw a hissy fit as the BBC are not giving you what you want when you want it. That not a good light for Jordan or his management.

      Wow, surprised he signed a new contract in September but it says a lot about Jordan that he continued to a very high standard throughout last summer/autumn if this was all going on in the background.
