Assuming that you do twist your knob from time to time... (Good mornin')

that's what she said.

i listen to kerrang in the car, which is on 105.2 in the midlands, if i'm honest i listen to it more than radio 1. i do tune into that scott moyles lad sometimes after 4 on radio 1 though.

I listen to 6 Music a lot which unsurprisingly plays far better music than Radio 1. And both Mark and Lard present shows on there (although sadly not together). I also listen to Absolute although the number of ads on there annoys me sometimes, that and the lack of decent presenters other than Frank Skinner and Dave Gorman at weekends.

Our local radio station is Heart but I only ever listen to it if I'm in the car and R1 is playing something I really can't stand. It's kind of a shame the way that Heart seems to have taken over the vast majority of independent stations in the UK.

I don't listen to other stations, infact I detest local/commercial radio so much that I nearly kicked a friend out my car for changing the station when we were out one day. It went into the garage for its MOT one day as well and came back with the radio on XFM, I felt dirty even looking at the display.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Radio 1 is perfect but its a damn sight better than the alternatives. Used to hate it at my old work if a nightshift had been on and they had been listening to Galaxy or Forth One overnight because I couldn't exactly walk in and change the radio when others were listening to it already.

Not impressed with censorship

i really think the time will come when they will do a show together again, they can't hold out for too long they are on the same station. when that happens i'll be spending my time listening to mr radcliffe and mr riley once more whilst the rest dwell in their celebrity obsessions.

I don't normally listen to other radio stations apart from online "radio" shows. (Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren etc)

When I listen to Radio 1, I'm usually driving. My local radio station is absolute rubbish (Heart FM) 70% of what they play seems to be 6+ months old. Also, if I'm driving long distance, other Radio stations don't provide the coverage. Plus it's nice not to have to put up with commercials.

Imo Radio 1 is the only thing which comes close to justifying the TV licence. (could still be a bit cheaper though heh)
