My Mobile Speaks To Me In Dutch!! Why??

Would anyone know why my mobile has everything written out to me in Dutch??

When I first got the 'phone in April all the content on Twitter was in English. Now, the tweets continue to be in English, but the twitter comments surrounding the tweets are in DUTCH!! It's not affecting my ability to use the 'phone, but it's just quite bizarre.

Just as an example: when I pull up Mills' twitter, it's got: "Ontvang korte en regelmatige berichten van Scott Mills. Twitter is een rijke bron aan constant bijgewerkte informatie. Het is....... ", etc., etc....

It's affecting no other part of the browser other than Twitter. Also, I was informed via email that some Dutch people were following me, I log onto twitter, and nobody was there?!?!

If everything else apart from Twitter is in English, you've probably changed the Twitter language settings. If you use the web interface - click your username top right, go into Settings, choose Engels as the language and Save to put them back to usual. If it's a phone app and not via your phones web browser, there'll be settings in there somewhere to do the same.

If your phone uses Android and it's the system language that's wrong rather than just Twitter go to 'Settings'->'Language and Keyboard' and then 'Select locale'. I imagine though that since it's just Twitter that's messed up you just need to change the language settings there.

I can say a few words in Dutch! I used to watch a Dutch soap opera, Gute Tijden, Schlecte Tijden (I can't spell) because there was a really awesome gay couple on it. (I watched it with subtitles but did learn a few words of Dutch eventually.) Perhaps you should just learn the language, Viv. :)

OMASM. Radio presenters are like fruit. Matt is my kumquat and Scott is blatantly my orange.

      Would be nice to give more presence to the specialist shows over bank holidays. Surely the best way to promote new music credentials over anthems? As much as I accept it's very popular.

      Peak radio 1 ! I agree with Bluestraw there was huge presence by specialist presenters then , certainly something I think radio1 could do more of now. Remember the takeover where specialist DJs would swap into main shows for a week? Or do we recall In New DJs We Trust, the competition on Chris moyles show where the winner would get a DJ set at radio 1s Ibiza weekend, and that is how Danny Howard’s radio career starters

      Yeah. He started on R1 in the late 90's when they used do the 'Sessions in the Nations' where they used to split for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. He then moved to daytimes, firstly on weekends in 2003 then they replaced Mark & Lard on the mid afternoon slot in 2004.  Then he moved to late evenings as a specialist DJ.

      Thanks for sharing that - I don't think I've seen it before. Didn't realise that Colin Murray off of Countdown and R5L used to be on R1! Several other current R2/R5L/R6M names there too.

      Where do we think Radio 2 in the Park will be this year? Personally I'm thinking Swindon after Scott's clue of it having many roundabouts and since Big Weekend is at Luton I can't imagine they'd go to Milton Keynes.

      Yeah, I feel like they need a big push on Jack to cement him in his new position. But it shouldn't just be Jack, you've got Sian and Alyx for instance, who are relatively new faces.

      Now in it's third week, the new Capital Breakfast Show seems to be settling down well and there are more of the informal, random Jordan topics appearing.  Though it is clear he wants to be seen slightly differently. It really is a very decent listen.

      Unless people can provide a source for this information then it should be treated as false.   Why would Jordan sign a contract with the BBC in the autumn when he agreed a deal with Global?  He could have left in August and not had to deal with the BBC.  Vick who doesn't really like Global why would she recommend him to go there and then warn him in her post to be careful?   It's been whispered from October that Roman was thinking of going.  Roman and Jordan have the same management team.  Why would they put Jordan in a place where he would have to battle with the BBC.  They could have agreed a deal with Global for Jordan in the summer.  They might have had to pay first couple months but they would do they to secure him.  If they had known about Roman wanting to leave they could have paid Roman off to get Jordan on air quicker.  Global would also not had legal around BBC contract to deal with and would not have had to pay the BBC to release Jordan.  None of what people say makes sense and if it did happen the way people say then BBC are not the stupid ones.  It really is not a good look to be talking with Global for 6 months, to then sign a contract with a the BBC, continue to talk to Global behind BBC's back after signing and then couple of months later want to leave and to throw a hissy fit as the BBC are not giving you what you want when you want it. That not a good light for Jordan or his management.

      Wow, surprised he signed a new contract in September but it says a lot about Jordan that he continued to a very high standard throughout last summer/autumn if this was all going on in the background.
