BBC Radio 1 has escaped any complaints after broadcasting the full unedited version of Cee-Lo Green's new song explicit song, FU.

The song was played in full during Nick Grimshaw's 10pm - 12am show, preceded by a warning from the presenter about the upcoming bad language.

The song, which has become an internet hit on YouTube, is called F**K You, and regularly sings the other swear words throughout the four minutes duration.

The radio friendly version, called FU, or Forget You, is now trending on most networks, and has been placed on Radio 1's B List. It is also currently Scott Mills' Record Of The Week. A search on comparemyradio.com says the track is on rotation at Xfm, 1 Xtra, 6 Music and Glide FM.

A spokesperson for BBC Radio 1 told RadioToday.co.uk: "The track was intentionally played out in full and unedited. It had appropriate warnings beforehand, and it was in line with audience expectations for that time of night.

"I can confirm that there have been no complaints."

I was about to look for the ROTW thread to say it was in the running for my favourite weekly / monthly song. Have now decided it is the winner.

Hmm. Love it - and have only heard a few verses of the unedited version, I didn't hear any other swear words in it, apart from the obvious, I must listen to it in full now.

Isn't there a rule where swearing can take place after a certain time?

Also, slightly off topic, Scott claims he's only sworn once on his show, yet I've heard him say the word, 'Crap,' quite a few times. What, is it not a real swear word?

OMASM. Radio presenters are like fruit. Matt is my kumquat and Scott is blatantly my orange.

Crap isn't a real swear word for fucks sake. I think they can play but not say the f word after 10. Didn't Colin Murray's last record ever on radio one have the f word in or was it bleeped?

I absolutely adore this song. The Motown vibe, and Cee Lo Green's conviction and beautiful voice just make it for me.

Even though I'm not huge fan of swearing, it does have its place. It f*cking works in this song. Great lyrics.

The original version is much better than the watered down Radio 1 version, but even so I'm delighted to have it on the playlist.

Incidentally Annie Mac said earlier that this was her favourite song of the year so far.

No it wasnt bleeped. I remember him saying he wanted to play the unedited version of the song he chose and had to get permission and for him to say the unedited title

It's actually a good song - I really dont see why people are intrested/annoyed about it. There isnt a problem with it - and if Nick Grimshaw said that there was swearing in the show before the music was played, then why is it ever a problem then?

So now there is a story about there not being complaints? That's because there is nothing to complain about!

Incidentally I'm about to write an article about there not being complaints that oh what occurring was incredibly racist and was devised only to belittle Welsh people...

Ooh, breaking news a few weeks ago was a child losing a toy, then finding it a week later. I think, also, there was a facebook group for it with about 50 members.

Colin's last song was The Man Don't Give a Fuck by Super Furry Animals. It was played in full with all the swearing.

Anyway, why does radio not have a watershed like television where swearing can happen without all the warnings?
