Just really beautiful words from Matt, these weeks are never the most "entertaining" but they really demonstrate the potential radio still has to create a sense of community.

Yeah my first thought was wow, what a Big Weekend line up. Even Shania had a lot of airplay on R1 recently with that Anne Marie song. Overall seems like it's "missing something". All fine artists (well I'm not too keen on Dua nor Coldplay but tons of people are) just nobody EXCITING.

I could see him being genuinely happy about this. He obviously was aware of their show being poorly received and this provides not only an out but an opportunity to do as @1_tw said above. It's a much better springboard in to becoming a "star" imo even if also a demotion.

Which is why I'm a little surprised they've paired her with Nat in a "permanent" spot as that is an even worse dynamic. On the other hand I'm sure there are people who are actually fans of that vibe.

"Jordan North will be saying goodbye". I can't shake the thought that something happened specifically around the time the press release went out. The language they used implied he would be given the chance to do that. Well I guess we'll find out when Aled or Jordan or someone involved puts out a memoir someday. The silver lining to this departure though is that I won't have to hear that heyyyyyyyyyy anymore. Hopefully it will not continue with Jamie.

Yeah I don't know if it's just getting tired of the day in general but I thought Matt, Arielle and Sian were so delightful I was excited for the rest of the day. Now I'm so over it.
