Id be down for Matt and mollie on daytimes - them and Greg are what’s keeping me listening these days.

Slightly off topic, but I’d love to see Sian on radio 1 one day. She’s really good from the clips I’ve heard browsing socials

I feel like half of the best R1 talent is now under globals roof lol.
It is official!

I do think this is worrying times for radio 1. As an old head I recall Moyles leaving but you felt there was a solid guaranteed future for the station. Scott still there, big experienced names to sort stuff out when it got tough. It was the same when Mark and Lard went, Simon Mayo, Chris Evans etc years and years back. But now it feels like with Jordan North going it's going to sound like a load of teenagers giggling amongst themselves. And I point to mid mornings on that imo. Radio 1 need a big young star who can present, and who's already popular to come in and create a fuss. And I mean someone who can be relevant for the next gen, not radio 1s current target audience. Aim for 2030.
We’ve defo hit another exodus period for the DJs.
I'm not sure how much longer Greg will be there. -
Well, there goes another legend.
Was expecting him to move to breakfast in the next year or two (if rumours are to believed he will be - just on capital)
Gutted. Him and Greg kept me hanging on.
Jamie Laing feels like the sort of person you’d hear on Hits Radio - a bit of name value there I suppose. -

Jordan on Strictly this year?
Either that or he does big brother when that airs again.

Matt will leave - probs head to the land of commercial, virgin radio or heart maybe?
Lauren Layfeild gets a weekend show by the end of the year.

It wasn’t a joke. Arielle was just expressing her opinion about the music choices which she was right about and should be able to speak about it. If presenters can’t share their opinions like that radio 1 and even Charlie needs to lighten up and take things on the chin.
I doubt was a proper opinion. She was out of it .

Tbf i agree with Arielle, mind you I think a lot of dance sounds samey
-
The comment itself is probs nonsense cus she’s drunk. The bbc are at fault not Arielle there.
The producers shouldn’t have let a drunk women loose on live radio
-
Yeah she’s probs in trouble cus she was utterly smashed
-
Chris Moyles shat on the music all the time he never got in trouble.

Here's Adele and Andi Durrant actually signing off Galaxy. Capital was coming to be "bigger bolder and brasher" as said. Lasted about 12 months before they became One Direction FM. Shame.
Great little listen.
Cheers DC.

Another legend down.
Greg holding down the fort in terms of my interest in the station these days
-
Not sure how the R2 audience would react to it.
doesn’t feel like a very radio 2 feature
-
I’d kill to have that archive.
old mills shows in full, the surgery, Fearne cotton etc

It's clear that although Scott's show has brought more listeners over to the station, not everyone's ready to leave Radio 1.
What do you think would need to be done to make you a bigger Radio 2 listener over his old station?
I don’t listen to lots of R1. The playlist isn’t to my taste. I prefer R2 and Radio X.
Greg’s the last star they have I really enjoy.
R2 have more stars I used to like there, Coxy, Scott and even Vernon Kay is doing things over there. -
I’d like to see Scott there.
Maybe it was my upbringing but I’ve always leaned toward R2’s playlist more than R1. The personalities on R1 were stronger.
Ken has been sat in the seat for so many years. I think within 3-5 years scott will have the slot. It’s either there or if Zoe leaves..: he finally gets breakfast! -
Scott,
Quite simply. Thank you.
I found your show by accident some years ago- I had a cheap phone which had a radio app. I flicked around trying to find a station- somehow it landed on Radio 1. You were on drivetime back then.
You’ve been a huge part of my life. Yourself and Chris are one of the biggest reasons why I love radio.
