So unexpected and random, but fine changes overall.
Finally they acknowledged how weird it was to have the chillest and the rock show back to back on Sundays. So instead of "chill to load" it's going to be "chill to less loud, but still loud". 
My quick alternative would be:
Pop to Sundays, right between the chart first look and the chillest show, prefect fit. (Which would mean double Molly, but hey, maybe Matt would deserve a solo show once a week anyway.) Leave Jack on Thursdays. The rest seems fine, especially the new Saturday nights.

Lots to unpack. The specialist shows have been shuffled around a lot over the past few years.
Mollie King gaining what is effectively a specialist slot is surprising. Although it does reinforce Radio 1's commitment to new music and new artists. My first thought was Future Sounds already covers a broad range of new pop music... But I suppose it'll do the same as Future Artists, artists they champion will feed through to FS, then potentially onto daytime. I don't listen much after 7pm... hopefully it's a live broadcast.
Radio 1 has simulcast 7pm on Saturdays for many years.. so a little surprising it's going back to seperate shows. I've only ever listened to the Soundsystem once on BBC Sounds out of curiosity... But the bits I've heard of Jeremiah, it's a great promotion to the heart of the Saturday night schedule. Good to see a mostly dance focus on Saturdays again (with the D&B show moving there, nice to see Charlie Tee get her foot in the door at R1 after some cover stints)
It makes sense to move the Rock Show away from 9pm on a Sunday. A lot of the audience will have access to BBC Sounds... if they can't listen live on a Monday. It used to be on in the dead of night for many years anyway, before being moved to 7pm. I can imagine it's very jarring having the Rock show next to the Chillest Show. The Indie show will be a slightly better transition. Personally, I'd have the Indie show followed by The Chillest Show.
 
 

Here is my final version of my schedule. Since I started making this in April, Radio 1 announced an awful lot of schedule changes which seemed to match up with my version, so the only real changes to daytime are some of the timings. When you get to post-4pm, I've made the most changes here, especially on the weekend.
Leaving you'd have Adele Roberts and Benji B (with DJ Target also leaving Radio 1 but staying on 1Xtra), and joining the station would be Rakeem Omar, Robyn Richford, Dave Treacy, Sam & Danni and Jess Iszatt. 

Good to see that happening to be fair Jack Saunders, Benji, Lifehacks, Soundsystem and early breakfast has had Christmas cover some given shows on radio 1 few some work outside bbc with commercial so think it is slowly delivering something 

Yes. She did a weekly specialist show on KISS Fresh until recently, also previously had a show on KISS and covered KISS Breakfast. 

Well, apart from the 'Prince Philip' interlude - but let's not rake over that ground again ,,,

My biggest problem is the nighttime schedule. From September I’d have:
Monday-Wednesday have a full on chillest show from 22:00-0:00, not just a power down playlist. This would be hosted by Sian.
Thursday night is the rock night, with The Indie Show followed by The Rock Show.
Friday and Saturday night are all about dance. Danny and Sarah on both nights, with Pete on Friday and Jaguar on Saturday.
on Sunday I’d have BBC Introducing followed by Sunday Chillout, hosted by Jess and then Sian.

Personally I'd like them to announce before September that we're going back to a Monday to Friday schedule with the exception of the chart show. Doesn't seem likely though.

I don’t really understand the idea that Matt and Mollie were demoted in January. Their previous position was closed and replaced with one which just covered Saturday and Sundays. By moving to 1pm they can stay on for three days a week. 

I felt bad for Jam. I think he was destine for R1 Friday nights as he covered Annie a few times, but got bored of waiting I guess. I think at Capital Dance, he's just happy about being the main man and I think he deserves that in all honesty. 

Suggested something like this in the chatbox for sometime soon. Slots not on there stay the same.

I won't debate, but will just say I strongly disagree and think you're wrong. There are no gaping holes, and I hope Aled continues to treat the station as he currently is doing, which is very well ? 
 

I didn’t mention him being in breakfast in five years, just still being at radio 1.
To be honest you must be listening to a different breakfast show to most of us, yes it’s lacking a feature or two, but what isn’t because of the pandemic, don’t forget they are limited about having guests come in and being able to do other stuff. But Greg is largely back to his best now he is back to five days, which is surely another vote of confidence in him as breakfast presenter as well.
Areas of the schedule that haven’t been touched in years, mid morning & afternoons will be looked at before they do anything with the breakfast show. 
 
Salary wise, he isn’t the highest paid by any means at the BBC and is on less than what Grimmy was. Look at the way he detests Heart, Can anyone else see him leaving the BBC to join a commercial rival, because I certainly can’t.

I guess we can agree to disagree ? I think the station is stronger than it's been for a long time, no need to shake things up. I guess if I could choose my own change, I'd inject some more / longer links in daytime but that's all. Admittedly that goes against the recent trend so I find it unlikely.
Certainly it's never been the case that the station evolves purely to 'give presenters a chance'. For sure I'd love to see Jordan on drive, but other than that I hope no other major changes in 2021... Trying out some new presenters over Christmas / Easter is good too, but no need to go further.
Your point about making the station less-commercialised would unfortunately backfire, in that listener figures would plummet and the argument to keep the station would be hard to justify.

Radios 1 and 2 still sound nothing like their commercial rivals. It's a fine line between being 'appealing' and 'overly commercial sounding' and I think today they are the right side of the line. Radios 1 and 2 are also VERY different from one another, yes there are some playlist overlaps but the presenter style, station sound and overall feel are poles apart.
 
Anyway such radical changes won't happen, and I for one am glad ?

Why boot off a highly successful breakfast presenter? And clearly Jordan is head and shoulders above those others you list.
 
You seem to be trying to fix something that isn't broken.

That will never happen. The station's primary aim is to appeal to a broad audience (within the defined age range), and daytimes will reflect that. Not even sure that the core audience for 'future sounds' would have any interest at listening at 9am. I could see Vick and Katie on Clara's slot incorporating a very few small 'life hacks' type segments but it would be in the context of the mainstream show and definitely wouldn't be speech-heavy.
Arguably your suggestion is more radical than the early days of the Bannister shake-up in the 90s, at a time when the station is in very good shape with a clear direction already!

I think their new show sounds really great, really nice to have a really strong weekend schedule again and good to have a weekend afternoon entertainment show. In my opinion, it’s the strongest Matt has sounded since he had his 10-1 shows. 
 
Depending on when Scott goes, I could see them taking over his show, as I think Jordan is definitely favourite for Drive. Hopefully they take their producer (Louis) with them if they do ever move shows. 

I had a drink or two with him at the Big Weekend in Middlesborough, and he still wanted to take the beer cups back to get 10p in return. So down to earth ?

Katie Thistleton is also worthy of doing more than just doing Life Hacks. She was one of the key players in the Lolathon last year, thought she added a lot of value alongside Jordan.
