Declan McKenna hosts Future Sounds on Tuesday 2nd April and Charli XCX on Wednesday 3rd - presumably the Thursday is TBC as Clara definitely finishes on Wednesday 27th March.
Sam & Danni are in for Arielle, Monday 15th to Thursday 18th April.
Jack's new show - Radio 1's New Music Show - starts on Monday 15th April 18.00-20.00.
Sian starts hosting Future Artists on Monday 15th April, now on Mondays & Tuesdays only 20.00-22.00.
Mollie's Future Pop moves to Wednesdays from 17th April 20.00-22.00.
    Arielle's new show - Radio 1's Rave-Up - starts on Thursday 18th April 20.00-22.00.
Sarah is in for Danny, and Charlie Tee is in for Sarah, on Friday 19th April.

I'm not even going to sugarcoat it. Good riddance to Dean and Vicky, their show is easily the worst of the weekday shows by a long way. The only surprise is that it took this long for the bosses to realise.

+1 on this too, radio in general is entering unchartered waters. I have Apple Music, but I would never trust it's algorithms to recommend me new music. I don't want to live in a reality where that is a thing. I like tuning in to Future Sounds and finding a new song that slaps, then adding it to my playlist.
I'm sure most kids are probably used to the algorithms choosing everything for them, but I think it's terrible and goes against everything of what music is about. I want to decide for myself whether I like a song, not to have an AI recommend to me what it thinks I will like.

Tragic news, RIP Annie. I was a regular listener of hers in the early 10s and an occasional one since then. I'm happy I was able to hear hear the few live shows she did in this period. She will be missed.

Whoever eventually  takes over would be well-advised to get what advice they can from Greg.
During his stint at Breakfast he's had to broadcast during some pretty unique scenarios - after England winning football and cricket tournaments, presenting a Breakfast Show during a pandemic or being the first DJ on Radio 1 following the Queens Death. Situations where there are very few who have faced those scenarios and he got the tone spot on. Obviously DJs can and should be their own person but you'd be silly to not try and learn what you can from somebody as talented as Greg who has been on Radio 1 as long as he is and continues to be as good as ever.
I very much hope Greg continues on Breakfast though for a while - he continues to be excellent.

I agree but also they wanted the afternoon show from Manchester which probably played a factor in why Dean and Vicky got the show ahead of more likely candidates.

Sian is a great late-night presenter - I'd give her 10pm Mon-Thurs, but it would have to be live, and on the 'relaxed side', rather than restricted to just the chill stuff .......

Radio 1 also have a Last.Fm page which has most of the songs played since 2006. Not as searchable but still has songs and times:

Today's 00's show sounded fantastic, and this is exactly how Anthems should sound like. Big mainstream hits you can still hear sometimes anyways are included of course (Cry Me A River, Complicated, Halo), but they are being played side by side with lesser-known ones. Some of them I haven't heard since they were new or never heard at all! No awkward mashups or mixes, just the songs in full. Especially grateful for "Alpha Beta Gaga", this is the second time I've heard it, and wasn't able to find it first time and gave up. Such a fantastic tune!
You're right, it's a bit too soon for that kind of 10's show, but it'd be great to hear those songs, which R1 played a lot in the (early-mid) 10's then completely forgot about (eg. The 2 Bears, Twin Atlantic, Madeon). The special, laid-back playlist they've been using since last weekend has some songs that would qualify and I loved hearing them (eg. Birch Tree by Foals and Eyes Shut by Years & Years from this afternoon).

I only heard the first 20 minutes, but starting 3 songs in a row wasn't a good sign. I guess I haven't missed much.
I'll probably tune in tomorrow though.

I also think if Radio 1 replaced Radio 1 Anthems with something like the Radio 1 Playlists where could not overly edited and some times guest selectors with different themes like could do like a Carnival Playlist at end of august to Uni Freshers Playlists or something with the minute and moment or marking the taste-making of the DJs and presenters

I always felt like Phil Taggart was overlooked for a bigger show. Just his luck that a whole station based around his show launched shortly after he left. Sian has done pretty well taking over from him.
Biggest miss in Annie on a Friday night. Danny Howard was the natural choice to fit into the role and he does it well, but he doesn't have the same energy that she did.
RMC doesn't work on daytime radio. They were brought in to take over from Charlie Sloth. Charlie is great on Dance Anthems, and seems a lovely person.

vorti reacted to DC in Final Ever Radio 1 Shows
With Scott leaving recently I thought I'd put something a little interesting up for people to hear back. There could be many out there I've missed so feel free to add any, especially post 2012ish stuff which I'm not too up on really. Below are some poigniant final ever Radio 1 shows, with a little backstory to go along.

    Scott Mills 2022-08-25
Only one place to start really. After 24 years at Radio 1 for Scott Mills, and 10 for Chris Stark. The curtain closed on the show in 2022 in emotional style. We all know the story here for that.

    Chappers 2009-12-24
The younger audience may or may not know. But before Chris Stark, Scott had another co presenter in Mark 'Chappers' Chapman. He worked on Scott's 4-7pm drivetime show from 2004 to 2009. As a co presenter and also sports reporter on Newsbeat. Chappers also worked with Sara Cox on the Breakfast show, and Dave Vitty (Comedy Dave) for 'Chappers and Dave' on Radio 1 in the 2000's. You can now find him doing Match of the day on the telebox.

    Chris Moyles 2012-09-14
Chris Moyles started life at Radio 1 the same way Scott did. On early breakfast back in 1997. Following a successful afternoon show (1998 to 2003), Radio 1 gave Chris Moyles breakfast to kick off 2004. A move that reaped the benefits following falling ratings. Moyles would go on to host breakfast until 2012. He returned to radio in 2015 with Radio X, fronting the breakfast show there. He split opinion, but for us of a certain generation he defined an era. And on his day could be brilliant and incredibly funny.

Chris Moyles (Final Afternoon Show) 2003-12-03
Not the end of Chris Moyles on Radio 1, but a sort of end of an era for people of a certain age. Chris was handed the afternoon show in 1998 following a good stint on early breakfast. The show originally ran from 4-5.45pm, but was given an extra hour in 2001 following Simon Mayo leaving and a reshuffle of the schedule. Through my school years I grew up with hearing Mark & Lard on afternoons followed by Chris Moyles, they coincided perfectly for me. In 2004 Chris moved to breakfast, Mark & Lard left Radio 1, and I left school.

    Mark & Lard 2004-03-26
One of the ones I heard on the day, and haven't been able to listen to since. You either got these two or you didn't, I got them and they were brilliant. Free thinking, said what they thought, unique, and just two northern tosspots (self described) who couldn't believe they were given a Radio 1 show. They joined Radio 1 in the early 90's hosting the Graveyard shift which really was a bundle of comedy, poetry and up and coming new indie music. They were given the breakfast show after Chris Evans left, the less said about that the better. The afternoon show that ran from 1997 to 2004, was a success. Featuted quality items such as 'Lard's Classic Cuts', 'Missing Words', 'Beat The Clock'. And 'It's A Mystery', where Mark & Lard introduced their 'Whoooooooo?' catchphrase (later continued by Scott). Most of these were usually Lard inspired, on the phone in another studio putting on a daft voice!
The last show they got to ditch the Radio 1 playlist (no more pesky Ja Rule crap to put up with!). Travis joined them on the show, there was a special song from Coldplay, a goodbye song from all the Radio 1 DJ's, a phone message from David Bowie plus numerous other skits and bits. The show ended with half a catchphrase 'Stop!', a Radio 1 sweeper, and silence, followed by the emergency backup tape. And then Sara Cox afterwards filling people in on what they just heard. There was a running gag where sometimes control from Manchester where they broadcast from, back to London went wrong. And sometimes they'd just see how long they could stay silent for to test the waters. That time it was on purpose. I remember staring at the radio when they went off kind of half expecting them to come back on, they never did.

    Simon Mayo 2001-02-15
Simon Mayo seems to be the DJ who was the link between the Radio 1 of old (cheesy 80's jingles and roadshow shorts era), and the Radio 1 of the new millenium. He survived the Bannister axe in the early 90's, down to the fact that he was bloody good tbh. A talented presenter who took on various shifts across the station including the breakfast show at a point. I only heard bits of Simon Mayo in his Radio 1 days, as I only started properly listening to the station around 1999 way. I began to appreciate how good he was in his Radio 2 days when he hosted drivetime there. Sadly the Radio 2 management butchered things up by pairing him with Jo Whiley which never worked. Simon left Radio 2 and is now on Greatest Hits.
His final Radio 1 show was a final show you'd expect. A mix of memories, music, and a final handover with Jo Whiley.

    Nemone 2005-09-xx
Even though I recorded this I'm not fully sure of the exact date aside that it was September 2005. Nemone joined Radio 1 in 2000, covering Jo Whiley when she was off and having her own weekend show. In 2004 she replaced Scott Mills on early breakfast, as he was moved to drivetime to replace Sara Cox. She later went on to join 6 Music and left there in 2021.
The final show was favourite picks, songs, memories. And another time Spice Girls 'Goodbye' was used, Scott also played it for Chappers final show (above).

    Dave Pearce (Dance Anthems) 2008-09-26
Dave had his radio roots laid back in the 1980's but joined Radio 1 in 1995. He as many others, started on early breakfast taking over from Bruno Brookes. He also had late drive (6-8pm) for a spell from 1998 until 2004, which also included the legendary 'mix at 6'. Dave was also the first ever voice on Radio 1 as the year 2000 rolled around, hosting a special millenium essential mix alongside Judge Jules from Glasgow.
Dance Anthems is where Dave Pearce really made his mark on Radio 1, he was the original innovator. The show started in 1997 and was broadcast on Sunday nights from 7pm-9pm. Later moved in 2007 for it's final year to Friday nights 11pm-1am. Dave and other DJ's such as Pete Tong and Judge Jules were really at the forefront of the trance music boom, that engulfed dance music over the late 90's and early millenium. Dance anthems was a hard show to convince Radio 1 bosses to take on, because they thought that people wouldn't want Dance Music on a Sunday at that time. But it became an institution, with shows also coming live from the likes of Ibiza and Magaluf.
Dave's final show included lots of classic dance anthems, a small montage of his Radio 1 years, and the final track being William Orbit - Adagio For Strings. Dave took Dance Anthems to 6 Music where it felt an irregular fit on a mostly indie station, so was short lived. He still plays out doing his trance anthems gigs, and can be heard on Radio 2 from time to time in recent years. Usually hosting New Years Eve/Day shows. A new look Dance Anthems returned to Radio 1 in 2012 with Danny Howard on Saturdays.

I've uploaded the last few weeks of Scotts Radio 1 show to my mixcloud which I have various bits of old Radio 1 on from the 2000's, including Scotts final show. As they won't be on BBC Sounds forever. Also as I recorded lots of shows from 2005 to 2007, the Chappers and Laura era. I'm also working my way through those and getting them online when I find the time. A long way to go but I've gotten to around summer 2006, hopefully I can pick up on those soon.
Everything is in this playlist, keep tabs on it for more old shows in the future.

Awesome idea, but that would need more than just us here on the forum. (I don't know if I can help cause I'm not from the UK.) But if social media, especially popular figures like artists or other DJs get involved I can see the song make it easily to the top 40.
