  1. Well... I like to shop at odd times. And I have nothing to eat here except chocolate, because I'm disorganised and forgot to go shopping yesterday. I have no bread and it definitely won't be a roast for me because I have nothing to roast, more to the point I can't actually cook. Not entirely sure what I'll eat, as I don't really have time to go food shopping till next weekend... I guess I'll make time. When I was in Toronto, I loved being able to go out and grab a sandwich at 3am if I wanted to. But I wouldn't personally want to work in a 24 hour shop, so I guess I'm just being selfish. I think shops should have the option of opening today though, if their staff are prepared to work. I might go out and see if anything's open... Croydon is a shopping town, not much else here, so something must be open. I went out on Christmas day and was amazed to find everything shut, even the station, it's the one day a year the station closes. I'd hate to live in the countryside...
  2. I'm watching that too. Visual pigging out on chocolate and Johnny Depp... Is it just me or does that Catholic priest look about 14 years old?
  3. Goodnight, enjoy Easter chocolate xx
  4. I think it suits some and not others. And it depends on the school too. I hated my last school, so anything really to get away from there. I've got some good friends who board. A lot of people I don't like, but some good friends, and they make it worthwhile. My best friend and I often listen to the Scott Mills show together in the evenings while they make us do "prep time" (have to sit in room and work... it's really pointless)
  5. I've been to 3 schools and my current one is the best. But I'm going to Nottingham in September, for uni. A few people I know are going there, but it'll mainly be new people. I like meeting new people, although sometimes I'm a bit socially awkward. Boarding is good, but it lacks personal space, and can be quite intense, seeing people 24 hours a day. Also I have to listen to everyone else's music and phone conversations.
  6. No, they're not. I board weekly and some weekends. We just don't get on terribly well, and for a number of reasons boarding works out for me. I've been boarding for 5 years, got a couple of months left of it. But all my friends live a bit of a distance away, which is a problem.
  7. Yeah, but I hardly ever bring friends home, and I'm at school most of the time (I board) so it's not a problem. Except when my parents come to pick me up or drop me off (very very rare - my parents like me to be as independent as possible).
  8. Lol I know that feeling when my parents have people round. Or when my parents come to school and see my friends, they always embarrass me. That's why I try to keep my parents away from my friends. It's remarkably easy, in my situation. I think I have another wisdom tooth coming through
  9. I just sneezed... horrible. I think I'll get something more healthy to eat, before I get majorly fat. This is a pretty boring saturday night. I have no friends round here, so I rarely go out at weekends
  10. I wish I had some pizza! I've started my chocolate though, because there's no one here to tell me off for doing so. Oh and Chocolat is on, so there's swirling molten chocolate on screen *drools Homer Simpson style* oh, and Johnny Depp is in this film *drools some more*
  11. I know exactly how you feel. Got a cough and I don't know why. Could be hayfever, but it doesn't feel like it. Strange, cos I haven't seen anyone lately who could have given me a cold. I've also got no one to talk to and my parents are in another country so I'm all alone...
  12. I'm watching Harry Potter on ITV, although I have it on DVD. This film scared me almost as much as the book. Anyone else watching?

    Easter Eggs

I ate it whilst walking along the street. Do you remember those adverts "How do you eat yours?" Do they still run those? Those things with the light that spun and told you how to eat it in shops... if anyone knows what I'm talking about....... A giant creme egg sounds nice but would probably be so sickly I'd never want a creme egg again.

    Easter Eggs

Aww Jono that's not good. But you might get some tomorrow... there's still time. I've got a pile of them on the table downstairs... sadly most of them aren't for me. And I'm spending Easter alone. After Jo Whiley's creme egg thing yesterday, I had to go out and buy a creme egg. So that was my early celebration.
  15. I had an OK day, went cycling until it started raining. The sky has been relentlessly dirty white all day. It's always like this in Croydon, a solid blanket of cloud. Then I did some revision until I realised I was copying the same things out again and again and I lost the momentum and the will to write. Kinda lonely here, haven't seen anyone since Thursday. And I'm just wondering if it'd be wrong to start my Easter eggs... no one would ever know that I started them early. I need chocolate!
  16. I've spent this afternoon trying to work and talking to people on the BBC Radio 1 message board who were also trying to revise and failing. And I bought Suede - Singles which I've been meaning to do for a couple of years. I also bought some more food, yay, got something to eat now beyond pasta.
  17. Suede - Beautiful Ones Been listening to Radio 1 all day, and I just turned it off and put the Suede - Singles CD on. Awesome stuff, reminds me of messing around with my friends a couple of years ago during GCSE mocks time, some of the best memories I have. And of course, listening to myself singing.
  18. I thought Flirt Divert might be a bit more interesting than it was. Noooo!! No more Scott Mills till Tuesday afternoon! Lol as I typed that, he said "we're back on Tuesday morning" - Chappers: "what?" "Tuesday afternoon". I hope I'll be able to listen next week. It kinda takes the p*ss that all this week I've been waking up early to listen, then next week I have to be up early anyway.
  19. See you. I reckon the callers will be very panicked about the Chili Peppers tickets, now it's the last chance. I wonder how many calls they'll get...
  20. Most of those tinned things were pretty horrible though. I mean, prunes? Steak? And it's all cold. Anyone think it's fixed against Laura?
  21. I'm not sure... I've never tried either. Although both look pretty rough. Poor Laura... lost twice.
  22. Er... Kate Moss comes from Croydon. Lucky her to get out... That Dane Bowers guy who didn't have much chart success also comes from Croydon. I live in such an exciting place... so exciting I can't wait to get out of it. It's just no-win-no-fee claim companies and the Home Office immigration department. As for Brighton, The Ordinary Boys - of Preston-and-Chantelle fame - come from Brighton. As do the Kooks, a brilliant band, getting a lot of air play on Radio 1 at the moment. Probably lots of more exciting people I've forgotten about. Wonderful place, Brighton. Home of lots of gay people, too, but that's all cool. Love the diversity and the randomness of the city.
  23. I'm watching the news... how dull. Ah, the Chili Peppers, much better to watch. I watched Takeshi's castle at my friend's house once. It was funny how excited all the contestants were, despite it being pretty much impossible to win. Has anyone actually won anything? Oh, the Darkness just came on. Very strange video. Too much lycra and high pitched voices. Looks a bit 80s actually, reminds me of things I watched on TV as a very little kid.
  24. I went to the gym but didn't really have much energy. Woke up feeling generally ill and I don't feel much better. There's an advert for pain killer on TV right now... I guess they read my thoughts or something. But yeah... I had dinner with my neighbours and they got offended by me not eating but I really don't feel good. I wrote 60 words of my essay. This is really bad... But oh well. There's a story on the news about a house that spontaneously collapsed -- I guess those people are having a worse day than I am...
  25. Yes, that is slightly odd. More than slightly odd. I just switched on the TV to have a look. I'm currently listening to The Rakes - Work Work Work (Pub Club Sleep) -- gotta love the Rakes, they make so many good songs about dead end office jobs in London.
