What did everyone think of this year's festive schedule? I really enjoyed what I heard. Not so many repeats. Jordan was spot on and really enjoyed the likes of Katie and Julia Hardy.

So what do people think will be happening with our glorious station by the time it reaches it's 60th Birthday?
I feel it will undergo some of the most amazing changes it has ever been through. With technology evolving all the time.
Veterans like Mills,Greg and Grimshaw will have moved on by then.
Big prediction if Grimshaws ratings don't drop too much in the near future then he will beat the Breakfast show record to then be replaced by someone along the lines of Charlie Sloth.

I've finally done it. Just finished listening to all 50 hours of R1 Vintage. I loved every minute of it. Even when I heard tracks and genres that usually I would switch off. I have sacrificed not licensing to any any live Radio or music and made it through. Thank you BBC for reminding just how much Radio 1has meant to me over the years. I shall be keeping with Vintage themes and be writing Mr Cooper a letter. What was everyone's personal highlights?

The changes are certainly interesting. Negatives first Mista Jam on Dance Anthems why? Made more sense to move Dance Anthems with Danny to Fridays 7-10. On the plus side Cel Spellman and Katie could really work.

So I reckon Mills transition over to R2 could go as follows. Couple more years on weekdays then move to weekends 10-1 or 1-4 allowing him to cover shows on R2 so the listeners their can get used to his voice. Then when the time is right he gets the nod. Be good to see Mills eventually take Steve Wright's slot.

I'm attempting to listen to every single show on vintage before I goes from the IPlayer. Currently on Nicky Campbell didn't realise he had been on R1. Learning so much. Well done Ben Cooper and everyone who put this together. I love how all the shows are mixed up Classic albums followed by Fearne and Reggie. Genius. Anyone know where the podcasts are that they mention at the start of each of the shows?

Listening to Annie Nightingale Mixtape shows to celebrate the birthday. They are giving me goosebumps from the awesome tunes to the news clips.

How good has it sounded this month. Nostalgia is a beautiful thing. Also nice to have fresh voices. Who is everyone's faves? Also this is making me realise I'm becoming too old for R1 as the music has been so exciting Elvis Presley and the Jackson 5. I'm 27 I don't want to let go of you yet Radio 1 you have been too good to me over the years.

Think Mr Cooper must have been reading this with his statement saying No changes coming. This month's superstar subs I'm listening with interest. Jordan is killing it. I think the more time goes by if big boss Ben is not getting rid of people. Some of the line up may leave to pursue other ventures. Greg and Matt come to mind.

The Christmas and New Year line up I hope is a sign of what is to come. But maybe not this year.
Jordan North could potentially get a permanent slot either Early Breakfast or a weekend slot. They have to snap him up quick before someone else does. This guy is hugely talented.
I was hugely impressed with Katie Thiseltons work. A lot more to do particularly the partnership with Cel needs improving.
